FALL 2020 REGISTRATIONWe run Lifesaving Society programming focused on in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and life saving skills, all in a fun learning environment. Our motivating and qualified staff incorporate valuable Water Smart education that will last a lifetime! We have 4 seasonal sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. We offer classes for all ages.

Registration InformationPlease note: If group or semi-private classes do not fill, the class will be considered a private and charged accordingly. When choosing semi-private lessons, we try our best to pair participants at a similar level, however, this can be difficult and is not guaranteed.

Registration: Participants must submit registration forms to the front desk or Aquatics Manager. This does not guarantee placement into the program, as classes may be full. You will be sent an e-mail, prior to the start of lessons, for confirmation.

Payment: Members’ accounts will be automatically billed one week after the start of lessons. Non-members are to provide a valid credit card number for immediate billing. If paying by cheque*, the cheque must be attached to the registration form, or the credit card on file will be charged.

*Please include HST to listed price.

Refunds: A 50% cancellation reimbursement will be issued if cancellation occurs before the lessons begin. After lessons have started, there will be no refunds.

Missed Classes: One make-up class is given for all lessons, on week 10, with the exception of special circumstances. Please speak to the Aquatics Supervisor/Director for further information.

Pool Closures: We will issue a make-up class for pool closures (no refunds will be issued).

Instructor Guarantee: We cannot guarantee specific instructors. If a specific instructor is requested, we will try our best to accommodate.

Level Confirmations: It is the responsibility of the guardian or swimmer to confirm the swimmer’s level, to the instructor, on the first class.

Pool Temperature: Classes will run if pool temperature is within 84˚- 87˚ F. Students will be notified of any pool closures.

Bronze Star (1.5 hours)Member: $400 Non-member: $500Bronze Star is the pre-Bronze Medallion training standard and excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion.

Pre-Requisites: None (Swim Patrol Experience is recommended).

Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aidwith CPR-B (2 hours)Member: $435 Non-member: $535Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles, embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness.

Pre-Requisites: Bronze Star (recommended). If candidate does not have Bronze Star, they must be 13 years old on the day of the exam.

Bronze Cross (2 hours)Member: $435 Non-member: $535Designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training, including an introduction to safety supervision in aquatic facilities.

Pre-Requisites: Bronze Medallion and Emergency or Standard First Aid

Evaluation: Items are evaluated by a qualified Lifesaving Examiner.

Adult Swim Program (1:1) (30 mins)Member: $335 Non-member: N/AThis one-on-one program is for swimmers of all levels. The focus of this program is to improve swim strokes and technique, based on the needs of the student.
