The www.remax.com Web site continues to be the most visited destination among all real estate brokerage brands, and “remax” was the second most frequently used real estate search term, according to an analysis of Internet searches in June by Hitwise, a leading online competitive intelligence service that looks at how Web sites are used.
Remax.com was the only real estate brokerage Web site among the 10 most visited real estate sites last month, according to Hitwise. The site averages more than 2 million unique visitors each month.
As the second most popular real estate search term, “remax” was used in 0.81 percent of real estate searches conducted in June. That level of usage contrasts with 0.38 percent for “real estate,” which ranked fi fth among the most frequently used terms, and 0.31 percent for “realtor,” which ranked eighth. The top-ranked real estate search term in June was “realtor.com.”
“Our consistently strong showing in the Hitwise monthly ranking of Web sites and search terms demonstrates consumer trust and awareness of the RE/MAX brand,” said Jim Merrion, regional director of RE/MAX Northern Illinois.
“Using www.remax.com gives consumers access to 95 percent of multiple listing services in the United States and many in other nations. It permits buyers to search listings in cities and states all across the country, and assists sellers with neighborhood valuation questions,” he said.
Hitwise reports Web site rankings on a monthly basis. It is a subsidiary of Experian Group, Ltd. The Hitwise U.S. Top 10 Awards Program recognizes the most successful U.S. Web sites in more than 160 industries. The program records the usage and search behavior of more than 10 million Internet users, which is the largest online sample of its kind. The awards single out excellence in online performance through public popularity.

those joining the exclusive ranks of Miracle Offi ces in 2007. That honor
was bestowed by the Children's Miracle Network (CMN), a network of premier
hospitals addressing the special needs of children in the United States and Canada.
To become a Miracle Offi ce, each agent donates to CMN either a portion of every commission earned or a one-time annual amount. Funds raised for CMN by these offi ces either benefi t Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago or Children’s Hospital of Iowa City depending on where the offi ce is located.

Carrie Koenig has joined the RE/MAX Northern Illinois regional staff as Regional Meeting and Events Coordinator. Her responsibilities include assisting with and coordinating Regional and Sales Advisory Council meetings and events. Koenig comes to RE/MAX with strong administrative skills and meeting and event planning experience from a variety of Chicagoland companies, including WashU Partners, LLC, and S.H.C.
Corporation. She studied at Loyola University in Chicago.
Amie Fair is the newest member of the illinoisproperty.com technical support team. As Technical Trainer, Fair is responsible for answering many of the questions that come into the Regional Offi ce from our Affi liates regarding the Web site and how it can be used to its full potential. She also conducts the free illinoisproperty.com training sessions. Fair was previously with Intermatic Inc., where she used her strong system planning, analysis and training skills. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Beloit College in Wisconsin and took Project Management classes at DeVry University in Chicago.
Nicky Davey has joined the RE/MAX Northern Illinois regional staff as Regional Services Coordinator. She is the friendly and helpful voice you hear when you call the Regional Offi ce. Her responsibilities include assisting in offi ce operations and answering many of the questions that come into the Regional Offi ce regarding the various programs in the RE/MAX system. Davey comes to the region with real estate experience having
been previously a real estate assistant at Dealmakers Realty, Inc. and a Leasing Agent at Windover Health Club Apartments. She
attended Kishwaukee Community College in Malta, Illinois.

The balloon team made a 5 a.m. call at WGN-TV studios on July 4 to infl ate the RE/MAX hot air balloon for sports anchor Pat Tomasulo and a WGN camera crew. Six segments were broadcast using the RE/MAX balloon to promote the upcoming "Lisle Eyes to the Skies" hot air balloon festival that weekend.
The RE/MAX hot air balloon made a strong presence at the Third Annual Fox River Festival of Balloons in Elgin. The Festival raises funds to benefi t Elgin Community Crisis Center.
RE/MAX South Suburban, Flossmoor, participated in the Homewood 4th of July Parade with great success. This is an annual event for the RE/MAX South Suburban offi ce.
