Member FINRA/SIPC/NFAThe Boomer Esiason Foundation made college football history in 2000 with the establishment of the Rimington Trophy. In 2003, the Trophy became the only sponsor of an annual award for a player in each NCAA division–I-A, I-AA, II and III–and the NAIA.

Since its establishment, the Rimington Trophy has made a remarkable impact in the college football world, affording centers the opportunity to be singularly recognized among college football’s elite. But it also affords something else – something more meaningful.

In 1993, Boomer Esiason established a partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities and joined with them a committed core of volunteers to provide financial and educational support for cystic fibrosis (CF) research. CF is a genetic disease that affects more than 30,000 Americans, including Esiason’s 19-year-old son, Gunnar. Since then, an astonishing $82.3 million has been raised. The Rimington Trophy is proud to have done its part. In conjunction with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Nebraska, the Trophy continues to direct all its proceeds (over $2 million to date) towards the cystic fibrosis community.

As CFF-Nebraska enters its eleventh year of partnership with the Rimington Trophy, we reflect upon the accomplishments of our past, express our gratitude for the present and share our optimism for the future of all people with CF.

Don’t pass up the opportunity to be part of the Rimington Trophy Presentation as a corporate sponsor. Join us as we fulfill our dual mission of recognizing college football’s most outstanding center while doing our part to bring an end to cystic fibrosis.

Member FINRA/SIPC/NFA Only the fifth commissioner for the Big Ten since its founding in 1896, James E. Delany enters his 22nd year in that role. He has led the Big Ten through significant periods of change and growth that have helped the conference maintain its preeminent position as one of the nation’s leaders in providing quality athletic and academic experiences for young people.

The 62-year old Delany is a native of South Orange, N.J. He received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina in 1970 and juris doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina School

of Law in 1973. At UNC, Delany was a three year member of the varsity basketball team, serving as tri captain in 1970. As a Tar Heel, Delany twice participated in NCAA Final Four competition.

After earning his law degree, Delany served as counsel for the North Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee from 1973 to 1974, and was staff attorney for the North Carolina Justice Department from 1974 to 1975.

Delany’s distinguished career in administering intercollegiate athletics began at the NCAA where he was employed as an enforcement representative from 1975-79. For the next decade, he served as commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference, where he oversaw the growth and enhancement of OVC athletic programs for men and women.

Active in the community, Delany has coached several youth teams and has been associated with Special Olympics and YMCA endeavors at various times.

Delany and his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Fisher Delany, also an attorney, have two sons, Newman, 21 years old and James Chancellor, 18 years old, who both attend the University of North Carolina. The Delany’s reside in Hinsdale, Ill.

Member FINRA/SIPC/NFAI want to share with you a unique opportunity to promote your company in a prestigious and recognized forum, as well as the chance to help bring us one step closer to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, a disease that still causes 30,000 children and adults to struggle with every breath they take.

In this, the eleventh year of the Rimington Trophy, we take pride in honoring college football’s pre-mier center, and recognizing the critical need to help those suffering from cystic fibrosis.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the cystic fibrosis community by way of the Nebraska Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Through your contribution as a corporate sponsor and patron for the Rimington Trophy Presentation, more funds will be made available to support 117 CF Foundation-accredited care centers across the United States that specialize in the diagnosis of CF and provide care to people with the disease. Care center staff include physicians, nurses, nutritionists, respiratory therapists, social workers, genetics counselors and other medical professionals.

Please help us reach our goal of finding a cure.
