Company History

Roscoe Moss Sahara (RMS) is a private Egyptian company founded in 2008 and located in 6th of October City Egypt.RMS

facility has all the equipment required to manufacture all types of water wells screens, casing and accessories. Funding to capitalize RMS was provided by Roscoe Moss Company (RMC), a Los Angeles, California, USA based firm established in 1926.

RMC is a leading ground water development expert and has participated in all phases of this industry. RMC’s experience includes construction management, well design, well drilling, and well field operation and maintenance. Today, its primary business is the manufacture and supply of water well casing and screen. Our clients are BP - Libya, Dasco - Egypt, Assail - Libya, Elmozn – Libya and Golder - Mozambique

Roscoe Moss Sahara maintains a substantial raw material inventory. This ensures products are readily available for prompt delivery.

RMS is using special customized welding machines to

fabricate our MossWell® Wire

Wrap Screens by wrapping a wire around longitudinal rods. The wire is welded to the rods by resistance welding producing a cage-shaped cylindrical configuration. This type of screen, commonly known as wire-wrap or continuous slot, is usually manufactured from type 304, 304L stainless steel, galvanized steel and carbon steel.

The Advantages of the Continuous Slot Screen MossWell®

• Continuous Slot Screen offers a technically superior alternative to Bridge slot screen at an attractive price.

• Calculated and guaranteed collapse pressure ranging from 50 Psi up to 3000 Psi

• Tensile strength up to 60 metric ton.

• Much higher opening area providing greater access to the water-bearing zone and allows more water to enter at much lesser frictional head loss and the efficiency of well is improved appreciably up to 50 %.

• Designed Slot size according to Sand Sieve analysis.

• Slot size can be reduced to 0.006" which is not achievable by any other screen Type.

• V shaped profile wire, avoids clogging, is self-cleaning and ensures an uninterrupted flow.

• Sand grains make only-two-point contact and do not wedge in the screen's inwardly enlarging slot.

RMS Screens can be produced with weld rings; weld collars, flush threaded ends, or threaded and coupled connections.

RMS Can Produce any type of threads (API 8 round, NPT,Buttress…etc.) for the end fittings in screens and casing up to 13 3/8’’ OD and can fabricate casing threads as well without making any welding connections.

RMS Rolling machine can produce sleeves and collars in sizes ranging from 4.5’’ up to 13 3/8’’ from bars or sheets in large thickness up to 13 mm.

Welding stations and Micro welder

RMS has the capability of using the MIG and TIG welding for stainless steel with the help of a group of well trained certified welders to weld our stainless steel and black steel pipes and screens in a timely

manner using Argon gas, Co₂ gas and tri-mix gas (helium , Argon and

- RMS Bridge Slotted Screen Is the only screen in the market which has complete round shape screen with no ovality as we use round pipes in fabrication not sheets and it’s the only Screen produced in six meter length without welding

- To submerge our products in a customized chemical solution to get the best anti-corrosion specifications and clear surface to our product.

- RMS provides different designs for the treatments according to each stainless steel grade. (304 , 304L , 316, 316 L , Duplex …. etc.)
