PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome all of you to the 2018 RNFOO Fundraising Gala! This event is a terrific opportunity to recognize nurses in Ontario, celebrate nursing profession and raise awareness within the broader community of the important role nurses play in delivering high quality, effective and compassionate care. It is truly
satisfying to be involved in enhancing and advancing nursing practice, providing financial support for continuing education, enabling nursing research, supporting community health initiatives, and contributing to the health of individuals in Ontario.
Over the past year, RNFOO has distributed more than $105,000 to 86 recipients. I would like to congratulate all of this year's award recipients and wish them continued success in the years to come. We are pleased to announce that this year’s award winners include the inaugural recipients of the Dorothy Wylie and Josephine Flaherty Scholarships. Both Dorothy and Josephine made significant contributions to the nursing profession, nursing practice and the quality of health care in Ontario. It is wonderful that they will continue to influence, inspire and encourage nurses through their lasting legacies.
I would also like to extend my gratitude and thank all RNFOO supporters including donors, award sponsors, members of the Board, and members of our committees. We greatly appreciate your continued support and immeasurable contributions to the mission of the Foundation. I am counting on you to remain involved with RNFOO and continue to have a significant impact on the development and evolution of the nursing profession in Ontario and beyond. Please help us spread the word about RNFOO so that we can keep promoting nursing excellence and securing financial support for nurses and nursing students.
I wish you an enjoyable evening and I hope to see you here again next year!
