Im Billy - the new Club Manager.Ive been involved ever since theclub started. I coach the Under12s and Im also on the new

Bangkok Lions Committee.

The Bangkok Lions aims to makerugby coaching and gamesavailable to young children andteenagers who reside in Bangkok.We rely on parents, volunteersand the help of our generoussponsors. Thanks to everyonehelping out. It all makes adifference.

RENEWED C0MMITTEE FOCUSED ON

STRENGTHENING THE CLUB

For the past month or so, a groupof ex pat parents have been

getting together at the Tenderloins

bar in Soi 33 on a Friday night.

This is nothing uncommon in

Bangkok. But the difference is that

they are working on plans to

strengthen the Bangkok Lions club.

Bruce Hill, one of the founders of

the Lions puts it this way, The

club tends to follow the ebb and

flow of ex-pat parents moving to

and from Bangkok. A number of

families have recently gone back

home. This always happens.

We need to make plans

accordingly. So over next few

months we will be focusing on

making the club stronger. We will

be clear about what we stand for,and what we offer, we will

communicate this to schools and

parents in Bangkok, and we will

aim to get families and kids excited

about turning up on a Sunday

morning.New families will come.

Bruce is clear that the Lions is a

family oriented club, where all kids

of all skill levels can play.

We are here for parentswhose kids want to play. We

are a club for everyone, and we

are proud of that.

The club committee has been

revived and includes Bruce,

Ahmed, Brian Sinclair

Thompson, Frank Swintala, Keir

Merrick, Atawhai Tibble, Rod

Kerr, Tony Taylor, Billy Hill and

Gonzague Patinier.

2014 CLUB TOUR TO JAKARTA

Bangkok Lions have been invited by the

Jakarta Komodos to their March 2014 rugby

Tournament. The date is either 14-15 or

25-26 March. The Committee would love to

have a full club tour. We are looking at two

options for travel organise your own OR let
