Hello, Brides!

RMB is 20-years-old! In honor of turning 20, here’s a countdown of my top 20 favorite things... or at least a few of the important ones. Rocky Mountain Bride is my favorite thing, alongside my family, the city I live in and our amazing team. Montana hasn’t been in the Rocky Mountain Bride family for 20 years, but joining this legacy has already been an amazing journey. We LOVE the Rocky Mountains, and we LOVE inspiring brides. We invite you to get married in the Rocky Mountains, and to visit Montana where it is easy to fall in love with the professionals, places and possibilities. My hope is that when Rocky Mountain Bride turns 25, 30 or even 40, brides will still have a place to turn when planning their perfect Montana wedding. Happy Birthday, Rocky Mountain Bride!

Cheers!Abby Turner

High school sweethearts, Kaitlyn and Trevor, were married on October 4, 2014. Undoubtedly, the most unique detail about their wedding was the ceremony location, which took place at a fire

tower overlooking the Swan Lake Valley in the Mission Mountains. They had a gorgeous day with lots of personality, DIY flair and a stunning outdoor backdrop.

Kelley and Casey were married at a gorgeous ranch outside of Helena where their rustic theme collided beautifully with wedding classics. The bridesmaids wore purple gowns paired with cowboy boots, and carried matching bouquets with purple tulips. The bride’s bouquet was made of bright white peonies and sprays of wheat stalks. Among other fun details, the couple danced the night away to a

live band under the stars.

Montana Finds Flathead Cherries

Every August, the trip to Flathead Lake to pick from the dozens of cherry orchards is a must for each Montanan. As all natives know, the cherry is one of the state’s most favorite products. The luscious fruit provides so many fun products, works of art and delicious foods.

Cherries are a great way to accent weddings and support local farmers in Montana. This Rocky Mountain fruit is a gem to have in welcome bags - whether in the form of jam or candles – or at your wedding atop the cake, on a salad, or on the side of a buffet for guests to grab and enjoy.

If you’re planning an August wedding, plan an outing for your guests who are staying around the lake to go hand-picking for this fabulous fruit, or have them stop by a local fruit stand to grab some on the go. Fresh from the source is the best way to enjoy Flathead Cherries. We love this local fruit. Consider adding a sea-sonal touch to your summer wedding with the Flathead Cherry!

Montana Finds Stanley Woodworking

Specializing in handcrafted wood artS for the home

Jay Stanley is the master artist and craftsman for Stanley Woodworking. He has an eye for the unique expressions found in wood, and is based out of Manhattan. Jay has been a carpenter for 10 years and has spent the last few years discovering his innate ability to turn wood into practical, yet beautiful, creations. He says, “the wood tells me what it wants to be.” He procures wood locally in Montana,

from his family farm in Indiana, and throughout the United States. These creations are useful and gorgeous as ring bowls, wedding gifts, bridal party gifts, and beautiful additions to any home.

Montana Finds Wild Horse Steel Works

handmade, Steel belt buckleS

Like many other small businesses, Wild Horse Steel Works began in their garage as a hobby, building belt buckles for family and friends. Once they started marketing their belt buckles, they gained popularity and the demand grew. Their belt buckles have been sold to cli-ents in nearly every state in the U.S. , as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom, and all over the world. Additionally, they offer discounts

for belt buckles bought for your bridal party.

Coming up with new belt buckle designs and improving the quality of the craftsmanship are high priorities for the Wild Horse Steel Works team. They take a tremendous amount of pride knowing these belt buckles are individually handmade for clients. Because their

belt buckles are made to order, the client may participate in some of the customization details.

Katie & Kevin Whitefish

7.12.2014

Real Wedding

Katie and Kevin met freshman year at the University of Montana, and have been to-

gether ever since. Kevin decided to propose to Katie during what she thought was a “spur of the moment” trip to San Diego.

Little did she know, Kevin had been planning this surprise for some time. The two de-

cided to celebrate their love on a gorgeous July day with all of their friends and family present to watch them say “I Do.” From

the perfect weather, to the huckleberry ice cream, and all of the love in between, Katie

and Kevin had an unforgettable day.

Page 22: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana20 rockymountainbride.com

the theme: Rustic chic was the look for Katie and Kevin’s wedding. They wanted it to be elegant, but also simple, and not over-the-top.

the colorS: The color palette Katie and Kevin chose was pale pink and grey, with accents of natural tones - white, green, and brown.

the flowerS: Pale pink roses, accented with white roses, dahlias, and greens, made up Katie’s stunning bouquet. Soft baby’s breath was used for the ceremony, along with potted petunias. The centerpieces were a combination of wood boxes filled with greens and white flowers, and silver trumpet vases with curly willow.

the dreSS: Katie wore a fitted lace gown by Mikaella Bridal. She loved how it was the perfect combination of classy and sexy. Her accessories included a belt that her best friend and bridesmaid wore with her wedding dress - the perfect “something borrowed”!

the favorite detail: Katie tells us that the cross they were married in front of was her favorite detail. Her dad made it for the couple, so it holds sentimental value, and also represents an important part of Katie and Kevin’s marriage. Kevin loved the popcorn bar!

Page 23: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 21

the SweetS: The bride and groom had cake and ice cream for dessert! Their guests enjoyed huckleberry ice cream, which was paired with sour cream white cake with raspberry filling, rum cake with cannoli filling, and German chocolate cake.

the food: Guests enjoyed a feast for Katie and Kevin’s wedding! Mushrooms stuffed with crab, smoked salmon, and bruschetta were served for cocktail hour. Dinner included spinach salad, roasted seasonal vegetables, potatoes gratin, and roasted garlic and mushroom risotto; these dishes were comple-mented by prime rib, salmon, and chicken marsala - delish!

the firSt dance: Katie and Kevin danced to George Straight’s, “Give It All We Got Tonight.”

advice for rmb brideS: “Try not to sweat the small stuff…no matter what happens, at the end of it all, you get to marry the love of your life and that is the best part!”

The LookbookThe glow of a big sky summer sunset is unmatched. This look was inspired by the vibrant colors Montana’s landscape

produces. Rich ferns, fruits, and berries helped to add a pop of summer color to this look. Both the natural tones and accent colors incorporated throughout the table mesh perfectly with the bride’s whimsy style and Sarah Seven gown.

Style SecretThe summer’s harvest of fruits and green-ery is the perfect place to find wedding

inspiration. The rich colors make a statement and elevate any look. Keeping things local is the best way to bring the

summer season into your look!

Shanna & Dustin Bigfork

9.1.2012

Real Wedding

Shanna and Dustin met while in Vail at an art show, where both of their paintings were being featured, and they had an instant connection. Dustin planned a trip to Sri Lanka, where he completely surprised Shanna with a romantic proposal at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy! The two chose to tie the knot in Montana. The

day was filled with an abundance of Native American details honoring Shanna’s heritage, and a fabulous celebration of their love with

friends and family!

Page 29: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 27

the theme: Shanna’s Native American heritage greatly influenced the wedding theme, and many Native American traditions were incorporated throughout the day. Shanna and Dustin decided to incorporate the colors and textures of the season, which also complemented the Native American details.

the dreSS: Shanna wore a long satin gown by Augusta Jones. She adored its vintage feel.

the flowerS: Shanna chose florals which paired perfectly with both the season and Native American elements. She had a vibrant flower aisle of roses, lilies, and greenery, which we just adored!

the favorite detail: “The location. Flathead Lake is one of my favorite places on earth.”

mr. and mrS. moment: “My husband surprised my family and me by singing two songs with his band. He usually just drums, but he also has a really good voice. It was great to have our two families come together.”

Anamarie & Shane Clearwater River

8.16.2014

Real Wedding

Anamarie is the Online Marketing Manager for RMB, and when we learned about her wedding, we couldn’t wait to be a part of

it! Shane is from Whitefish, and Anamarie is from Missoula. Although they live in Denver,

they knew Montana would host their wedding. On a warm August day, they said “I Do” in the presence of over 300 friends and family at the family’s private cabin. It was the

perfect day for a fabulous wedding - congratulations, Ana and Shane!

RMBWEDS!

Page 33: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 31

the theme: Anamarie went with a clean, natural aesthetic with a bit of a boho-vibe for her wedding theme. They had a neutral color palette, crisp black and white paper designs, cafe lights, and pops of gold throughout the design. The most important detail was that their wedding was fun for all of their guests!

the dreSS: Anamarie’s best friend and bridesmaid, Lauren Snyder, opened Velvet Bride in Missoula, so it was meaningful and exciting for Anamarie to buy her dress there. She ended up buying the first dress she tried on: a gorgeous WTOO gown.

the favorite detail: “That’s hard! I would have to say the ‘glamping’ honeymoon suite our neighbors surprised us with. They set up a walled tent and put down carpet, a queen sized bed, candles, lights, and flowers. It was incredible. Waking up in the middle of the woods in an incredibly comfortable bed was amazing. I also loved creating our programs, invitations, custom beer labels, and menus.”

mr. and mrS. moment: “Shane and I didn’t exactly do things in traditional order - our daughter was a year old at our wedding - but saying our vows in front of our friends and family was so emotional and amazing. As far as I know, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It’s true what they say: weddings are fantastic, but being mar-ried is so much better. I get to wake up to my husband everyday.”

advice for rmb brideS: “Planning the details is fun and they do make things prettier, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you enjoy your time with your new spouse and loved ones. Spending money on a good band and a good photographer is so worth it. Take a minute to take it all in; things go by incredibly fast. Things aren’t going to go perfectly, so go with the flow, and enjoy celebrating the love of your life!”

Kristi & David McAllister

8.2.2014

Real Wedding

Kristi and David were married on a warm August afternoon in McAllister, where they

celebrated with all of their loved ones at the most fabulous barn in Ennis! The two decid-ed to have a classic country-style wedding,

which was created with an adorable vintage white church, wine barrels, and lighting that

made the whole barn sparkle and glow.

Page 41: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The Theme: Kristi and David chose an elegant, country rustic theme for their wedding. They used borrowed antiques for the country charm look. These items were paired with lighting and candlestick accent pieces which brought in an elegant flair. The color palette they chose was kelly green, rustic brown, and ivory.

The Dress: Kristi wore a gorgeous lace A-line gown, which matched her vintage-charm and country look!

The Flowers: A family friend and retired florist ordered the blooms and put them together for the couple, adding a personal touch. The tall arrangements included curly willow, bells of Ireland, baby’s breath and daisies. The bridal bouquet was a lovely bunch of ivory garden roses and baby’s breath.

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 39

Page 42: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The FavoriTe DeTail: Kristi’s favorite detail was the borrowed jewelry, which came from her grandmother and great-grandmother. The pieces were stunning with her lace dress, and they also made for a mean-ingful “somethings borrowed.”

The sweeTs: Kristi and David decided to make a statement with their desserts! They had a dessert bar which included lemon bars, cream puffs, and all of the couple’s favorite cupcake flavors, such as choco-late and lemon blueberry. A two-tiered, ivory butter cream cake was staged under a chiffon netting for the couple’s cake cutting.

The FooD: In keeping with the country style, Kristi and David served a delicious Montana BBQ.

aDvice For rmB BriDes: Kristi’s advice is not to get lost in last minute details, but rather to take in every second of your wedding day because it goes by so quickly. She also suggested designating a “go to” person to handle all the little things that may come up.

MeetBig Sky Photo Booth

Since 2010, Big Sky Photo Booth has been providing couples interactive entertainment, instant wedding favors, and nights full of laugher. They are

the perfect party addition to your wedding!

What is it about Big Sky Photo Booth that is a

must-have at a wedding?

We believe in what we do and our customer service is top-notch. Couples tell us all the time that our photo booth was the hit of the party. Our photostrips are stunning. They are perfectly exposed and created using studio strobes and high resolution cameras. Our print quality is unmatched with no smearing or wet surfaces. Our prints will last a lifetime when well taken care of. Our guest books are beautiful, acid-free, archival quality albums. We don’t skimp on quality or customer service because it is a really big deal to us. Plus, couples have to look at the total value of the photo booth—it is so much more than getting a

photo taken – it is way to engage guests and capture the celebration. Seeing the photos of Grandma and Grandpa kissing in the booth is truly priceless.

What proves that hiring a professional photo booth

company is worth the additional cost?

Photo booths are what we do—they are our specialty! We love our niche, and we’ve excelled in our market. It’s our goal to be the best

decision a couple makes for their reception. We work with each couple to create their unique photostrip message, fine tune the photo booth timing and location, and interact with their guests throughout the evening. Our photo booths provide a great, budget-friendly wedding favor for guests

and all night entertainment. Hire a company that knows what it’s doing, not a fly-by-night company or an overcommitted vendor. Choose a profession-al who specializes in making lifetime memories and who cares about your

big day as much as you do.

In addition to a standard photo booth rental, what other

services does Big Sky Photo Booth offer?

We’ve worked hard in our four years in business to stay on top of industry trends and to provide the latest and greatest for our clients. We now have social media and print stations, so when guests exit the booth, they can reprint photo strips or upload images to Instagram or Facebook on site. At venues where

parts of the reception are happening in different places, we can remotely project the photos on a large screen. Guests also love video messaging the bride and

groom - a popular feature we offer. Green screening, where the guests are super-imposed over a background, can be great for a wedding with a specific theme.

the look

We are smitten by this A-line, ivory lace bridal gown from Ti Adora, a collection by Alvina Valenta. The deep V in the front and in the back give it the dramatic wow-factor, softened by both the deli-cate lace detail of the dress and the Untamed Petals belt. The ivory tones in the dress blend beautifully with the rich reds and wild greens in the bouquet and create a look straight out of the Tuscan countryside.

style secrets

With the dramatic neckline, Jessica, from Amore Salon, was able to create a bolder hairstyle to match the gown. She created a large, twisted braid to add detail to the back of Cassy’s hair, which is a great way to amp up a bridal look. The ensemble was designed to have an effortless, yet pulled-together motif, which is further complement-ed by the bouquet’s similar aesthetic.

the look

Looking to channel your inner Grace Kelly on your wedding day? The “Clara” gown from Sareh Nouri is it. With it’s off-the-shoulder trumpet shape, low back, and French Alencon lace design, you’ll be sure to wow in this classic stunner. The look is complete with a delicate Untamed Petals belt. Add rich, romantic flowers with the gown in order to make the lace pop.

style secrets

With a gorgeous lace neckline and back such as this, choose a hairstyle that doesn’t doesn’t distract from the gown’s intricate detail. For this look, Jessica decided to style Kimberly’s hair in the back, as opposed to on the side or left down. She used asymmet-rical details, like her side part, soft braids, and pinned curls, to accompany the parallel attributes of the dress.

Classic Charm

the look

Spring is in the air! This A-line “Houston” gown from Haley Paige has a blush tone which pairs perfectly with a roman-tic summer fete “I Do.” The draped, crossover bodice, alabaster-encrusted keyhole back, and beaded trim at the natural waist is the perfect amount of sparkle for the whimsical bride. The little bits of bling in the Untamed Petals headband are the perfect finishing touches to the look.

style secrets

Jessica, the beauty stylist for this shoot, also had the opportunity to play dress up and to model! For her look, she chose a simple and textured, yet smooth style, which she coupled with a bold headband. She was sure to choose an understated piece which didn’t overly compete with the gown. For brides with short hair : don’t feel limited to just one style! Feel free to accessorize and to have your hair profession-ally styled to achieve the most beautiful you.

Kristin & Chris Absarokee

8.23.2014

Real Wedding

When life gives you rain on your wedding day, wear fabulous rain boots! Kristin and Chris cel-ebrated their love on a cloudy August day, yet the weather didn’t dampen their love or hap-piness in the least! Friends and family gathered for a rustic outdoor soiree. From accessorizing for the perfect rainy day to a rockin’ barn party,

Kristin and Chris had their dream day while becoming one!

Page 59: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The Theme: The couple chose an outdoor rustic theme which played off of the natural Montana landscape. They used a color palette of mint, tan, peach, and a variety of blush tones.

The Dress: Kristin tells us that her Lillian West gown “was made just for my body…it was a satin slip that was covered with a light lace gown. It was breathable and easy to move in.”

The Flowers: Kristin employed the talented Katie Bennett, from Mac’s Floral Design, to come up with the wedding’s flower arrangements. She loved the end result; it was exactly what she wanted!

The FavoriTe DeTail: “I think our favorite detail was that our family and friends came from all over to celebrate with us. It was truly phenomenal and heart-warming. The weather sucked, yet people were so ecstatic to be there. It was awe-some. We also encouraged camping on the property for our guests, which lots of people took part in. My aunt prepared a delicious breakfast the next day for all of the campers and the wedding party. “

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 57

Page 60: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The sweeTs: The couple served a coconut cake with cream cheese frosting to their guests. The luscious fare was covered in toasted coconut, and Kristin absolutely loved how delicious it was!

The FooD: Kristin and Chris served guests fennel breadsticks, various cheeses, chips with fruit salsa, and caprese salad skewers during cocktail hour. For dinner, flank steak with a chimichurri-and-apricot-glazed chicken, homemade sourdough bread, strawberry and spinach salad, and a delicious roasted vegetable platter were served. For those still dancing away the night, the couple served late-night bean burritos.

The FirsT Dance: The newly-wedded Mr. and Mrs. danced to Ingrid Michaelson’s “Wonderful Unknown.” Kristin tells us it’s such a sweet song about married life, having a family, and growing old together.

aDvice For rmB BriDes: “Don’t have pre-con-ceived notions of your ‘perfect’ wedding day. It’s going to be great, and you can’t always predict what will happen. Roll with the punches! Everything works out in the end.”

Ashley & Andrew Deer Lodge

8.30.2014

Real Wedding

Who knew on a girls night out that Ashley would meet the man of her dreams? She

was dancing with her friends when Andrew came up to them and introduced himself.

From that moment on, Ashley and Andrew were inseparable! Andrew proposed to Ashley at Foley Rock at the Rock Creek

Cattle Company, which is also where they decided to tie the knot! The two celebrat-ed with friends and family at a gorgeous ceremony on the 18th green, which was followed by an outdoor reception at the

Cattlemen’s Club. Ashley and Andrew’s day was filled with love, beauty, and

unforgettable memories!

Page 66: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The Theme: Ashley and Andrew decided to have an elegant, country-chic wedding. She loved rustic, but also wanted to elevate the design in order to make it unforgettable! Gold horseshoes, burlap, and floral-filled mason jars helped to create their perfect country-chic day!

The Colors: The wedding palette consisted of white, ivory, and gold with wood accents.

The Dress: Ashley described her fitted David’s Bridal gown as “simply elegant and timeless.” The scoop neckline and layered skirt made it a fabulous late-summer look!

The Flowers: To match her elegant, country-chic affair, Ashley chose rustic and loose white florals, which she paired with green accents and wood elements.

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana64 rockymountainbride.com

Page 67: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

The FavoriTe DeTail: Ashley spent a lot of time creating and gathering her wedding details. She used gold-painted horseshoes as the escort cards, a gorgeous accent piece made of gold branches, burlap runners with gold dots, and gold-dipped mason jars. The guest book was a wooden cutout of the state of Montana, which guests signed with a gold pen.

The sweeTs: Ashley and Andrew simply adored their three-tier buttercream-frosted red velvet cake from Black Cat Bakery. The gold accents and floral garnishing on the cake made it a show-stopper!

The FirsT DanCe: The newlyweds danced to Ray LaMontagne’s “You Are the Best Thing” for their first dance as husband and wife.

aDviCe For rmB BriDes: “Don’t sweat the small stuff. Things are going to happen that are out of your control, but it will all work out in the end. Take time to enjoy every minute and detail of your day because you have invested so much time and energy into planning this beautiful event; it goes by too quickly.”

Elle’s Belles Bakery

Page 85: Rocky Mountain Bride Montana Spring 2015

Rocky Mountain Bride Montana rockymountainbride.com 83

Elle’s Belles Bakery was established in 2003 by Elle Fine. It has grown into one of the most respected wedding cake bakeries in Montana, as well as in the region! From creative and unique cakes, to the famous cookies, cheesecakes, and pies that are shipped all across the US by Goldbely, a curated marketplace for gourmet foods, the talented team Elle’s Belles Bakery continues to emerge as an industry leader.

Once a bride and groom decide to have Elle’s Belles craft their perfect wedding day cake and dessert table, a tasting is scheduled. But it’s not just any tasting. Every client of Elle’s Belles has a completely personalized cake tasting and design session with Elle herself. The bakery gives couples the opportunity to try various combinations of fillings and cakes in order to help them find a creation unique to each pair’s theme. Elle is obsessed with incorporating the best ingredients into her sweet creations like real fruit, whole nuts, European chocolates and fresh caramel. For those who request it, they will often have mini desserts and or pie bites available as well. The tasting seals the sweet deal. Oftentimes, Elle’s Belles works with out of state brides. In this case, it all happens over the phone usually after some treats have been sent.

To learn more about the couple’s style and wedding theme, Elle takes the time to complete a survey with each bride and groom. She wants to learn each couple’s love story so that she can capture its essence in her delectable creations. “I love seeing them enjoy the tasting and hearing their story, seeing the inspiration boards, the dress, the vibe” says Elle. “They become our story in the Summer season and especially for the several weeks leading up to their special day. We enjoy crafting a beautiful presentation that reflects the bride and groom. We really like to connect with the couples we work with. It’s important to us.” Elle often hears back from brides and grooms about how wonderful the desserts were and from their families and friends who are still raving, even years later. The icing on the cake for both Elle and each client is when the bride and groom get to share their first bite together as husband and wife.

When we were interviewing Elle, we couldn’t help sneaking a peek at her thank you board. We loved reading all the sweets

words from her past cleints!

Take the road less traveled to see the Alps! Mürren is a traditional mountain village unreachable by public roads,

but it has the most breathtak-ing views of Eiger, Mönch, and

Jungfrau Mountains.

The Matterhorn in the Alps is said to be one of the most photographed mountains in the world.

Lake Geneva is a must-see when in Switzerland. Stay

at the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace.

While in the Lake Geneva re-gion, take time to check out all of the castles which surround

the lake!

The four national lan-

guages spoken are German, French, Italian and Romansh.

The village of Gimmelwald in the Alps is your destination for hiking

trails, scenic mountainscapes, a funicular, and gondolas.

The Lake Geneva re-gion is also known for

it’s wine. Local vineyards will do tours and tastings

throughout the year.

10Swiss cuisine combines influences from its bordering nations of Ger-many, France, and Italy, and varies by region. Some popular dishes

are cheese fondue, Raclette, and of course, Swiss chocolate.

Lone Mountain Ranch is nestled in the heart of Montana in Big Sky country. The views from every vantage point on this ranch are breathtaking. There is nothing better for a Rocky Mountain Bride than a perfect Montana sunset or sunrise and the Lone Mountain Ranch features some of the best in the state.

From the incredibly kind and welcoming staff to the delectable gourmet meals, Lone Mountain Ranch is the ideal getaway for couples looking for a relaxing and picturesque honeymoon.

Upon arrival, you are welcomed to your cabins with basket featuring a delicious meat and cheese plate, crackers and chilled water. The cabins feature classic Montana décor with cozy, comfortable beds with soft linens. The ranch has cabins in sizes that can accommodate two guests or as many as eighteen guests. Many of the couples that spend their honeymoons at the Ranch loved their experience so much that they have started traditions by bringing their families back year after year for even more Montana adventures.

Lone Mountain Ranch offers a myriad of activities for every sporting enthusiast. They offer horseback riding, guided Orvis fly-fishing excursions, cross-country skiing and sleigh rides. The adventures are endless!

The Ranch’s unbeatable location and magnificent views offers the perfect getaway for every couple. Relax on your private porch with a fresh cup of coffee as you listen to the running creek or enjoy the stunning sunrise or sunset.

Enjoy a thirst-quenching Montana Mule on the deck of the main lodge for a wonderful afternoon or evening beverage. The Ranch offers world-class meals featuring the freshest local ingredients and boasts a wine list, which is sure to impress even the most savvy of wine lovers. The Wild Mushroom Risotto, paired with the Mapema Malbec comes highly recommended by several of their guests.

staymoon The Ranch at Rock Creek

Nestled in a valley near Philipsburg, Montana is The Ranch at Rock Creek. This all-inclusive, five-star guest ranch is the perfect staymoon location, combining world-class service with a choose-your-own-adventure philosophy. The Ranch is situated on 6,600 acres full of all the activities Montana has to offer. It truly provides everything you could want on your honeymoon and more.

Your day at the Ranch starts with a cup of local coffee and a made-to-order breakfast at the Granite Lodge. All of your meals at the Ranch are fresh, locally-inspired cuisine which will have you wanting to come back for more. We recommend trying the bacon; it may just be the best we’ve ever had!

After breakfast, you will head to the Rod and Gun Club, which will be your home base for all of the activities the Ranch has to offer. Spend the morning on horseback with an expert wrangler while experiencing breathtaking views of the Sapphire Mountains. Afterwards, enjoy a massage at the Granite Spa.

After your Montana-filled day, head back to your accommoda-tions to prepare for dinner. The Ranch has 29 different lodging quarters to choose from, with the Trapper Cabin being our favorite spot for honeymooners. While it is the most secluded accommodation on the Ranch, it isn’t lacking in amenities; a fridge stocked with local beers, a king size bed, and a gas fireplace, make it difficult to leave the Cabin. The Trapper is “glamping” at its finest: a canvas tent married with a wood cabin and stone. It boasts a wrap-around deck with a custom soaking tub, which is the perfect location to spend your nights stargazing.

If you manage to leave your cabin, you might consider return-ing to the Granite Lodge for the evening, where you can spend cocktail hour in the Great Room, while enjoying a beer from a local brewery and appetizers by the fire. After a couple of drinks, go next door to the dining room for a seasonally-inspired dining experience.

After staying at The Ranch at Rock Creek, you will want to return for years to come!
