Brock Harl started with State Farm in 2003 in the liability and medical unit. Last Thursday, May 9th, the bell rang for Big Duck Marcia Logan, Little DuckThor Homme, and members of the Duck Race Committee. The race last

Saturday was an event to remember. All of the major goals were met, andeveryone caught the spirit and had a good time. For all of these efforts and

many more, Marcia Logan and Thor Homme are “Rotarians of Note”.

Meeting NotesThe meeting was called to order by President Pete Sumey.

The invocation was offered by President Pete. Dick Broman led us in song,followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Rick Taylor introduced guest Rotarians Karen and Steve Smidt fromBeverton, OR and welcomed back Dale Hatcher.

Medical reports:Harry Hutcherson and Dennis McHenry are both back in Estes and doingwell. President Pete read an e-mail from Harry.Pete Sinnott and his wife, Stephanie, are in Canada attending the funeral ofPete's mother.

Announcements:JR Robertson gave many thanks to Scott Thompson for organizing the ducksquat which made $750.00...he also announced that $127.50 is in the baseballpot...

Thor reported that the refurbishing of the Rotary pavilion is ahead ofschedule...staining will take place on 5/15 and 5/16 from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM...volunteers are needed.

Friendship Exchange: Our guests from India are arriving on June 8th and hostfamilies are still needed.

President Pete announced today is Rebecca's wedding day.

Rotarians of Note this week are Marcia Logan, Thor and the entire Duck RaceCommittee.

Happy Money:Marcia Logan thanked her committee and Rotary for giving her the opportunityto serve as Big Duck...she reported sales of 5512 adoptions resulting in

$104,000 going to 63 charities. All committee goals were met and wesurpassed the $2 million return over the 25 years of the race.

Randy Davis was happy that Tom Maher was here for the Duck Race.

Brian Holmes was happy that Dale Hatcher is visiting in Estes and that hisson was accepted to Cal Poly.

Jeff Liddel was thrilled that Eagle Rock raised $8200.00 for the Duck Racewhich made Eagle Rock the largest fund raiser.

The program, The Mountainaires Women's Chorus, was introduced byPresident Pete.
