2020 Class Structure
Preparations for 2020 have commenced and in a few weeks, teacher’s will begin
discussions relating to classes. A number of factors are taken into consideration
when placing students in class groups. If parents think that their child has specific
educational needs in relation to class placement, then they need to communicate
those concerns in writing, addressed to the Principal and must be received by
Friday 8 November. Please note that only academic, social and emotional issues
should be addressed and requests cannot be made regarding individual teachers
or the placement of other students.
As part of our class formation process, we ask all the students to list five other stu-
dents they would like to learn with next year. We are able to guarantee that every
child will have at least one of those five people in their class for the following year.
Drink bottle reminder
As the weather starts to warm up, it is important that all students bring a water
bottle to school every day. The water bottles are then in the classrooms for access
throughout the day as well as being taken to sport sessions.

Lunch Club
A new initiative called “Lunch Club”, has started in the library. It happens every Friday between 1.15 – 1.45pm. Each
week there will be a different focus, and this week it will be Games. This is an opportunity for students who want
some quiet time out of the yard to participate in a variety of games and activities. Students from all grades are wel-
come. A very big thankyou to both Kyla Lim and Andrea Pope for organising the program and making our first “Lunch
Club” such a success.

Christmas Bookclub Orders
All students should have recently received the latest Christmas Bookclub brochure. Please place all orders online or through the school office no later that next Monday, October 28. The brochure and online order forms give parents an option to place orders that are intended as surprise Christmas gifts for their child, if that’s preferred. These gift orders will be held at the Office for collection by parents, rather than being distributed to the children in class to take home, which is the normal procedure for Bookclub at other times of the year.
Thank you. Sensei
School Banking One of our parents, Lisa Attrill has kindly offered to collect student banking, take it to Bendigo bank
and return the books to school. Please send your child’s deposit book and $ of course, to the office or give to your
child’s teacher by Tuesday each week.
Thank you Lisa :)

Sport News Division Volleyball
Congratulations again to our amazing volleyballers who both won their division finals last Friday. The
boys played Donvale Primary and the girls played Donburn Primary. They now go to the Regional finals on Friday 1
November at the State Volleyball centre in Dandenong.
They both had a bit of adapting to get used to playing on a smaller court but after the first set settled into their usual
game.
Well done!
Sally
