• 2.4 b - 40% in the world is without access to improvedsanitation facilities.
• More than 2.2 m, mostly in developing countries, dieeach year due to poor water and sanitary conditions.
• At any time, half of the world’s hospital beds occupy bypatients suffering from water borne diseases.
• In the Asian region - 69% of the rural population has noaccess to improved sanitation facilities.
• 750,000 Children in Asian Region died for the last 02years
