2.2 Special coax cable for 2 Mbit/s, ½ SU, 7 single cables for installation in China Cable data as per sample shown: (Local ident. no. SYV-75-2-1, grey/beige) 75 Ohm; internal conductor diameter 0.34 mm; insulator diameter 1.9 mm; 1 braided screen; Outer cover diameter 3.2 +/- 0.2 mm; Color black Plug kit no. C50228-Z100-B402 for ½ SU 2.2.1 Preparing cable • Slide nut, collar and cable clamp on to each of the 7 cables in this order (approx. 200 mm). • Strip back 66 mm of sheath from each cable. Shorten screen braid to 12 mm, untwine it and fold it outwards by about 45 degrees. Shorten dielectric by 24 mm. • Slide 40 mm of Fa. Raychem heat-shrink tubing, ordering no. KYNAR 1/16-X, 5 mm over the dielectric and heat-shrink it over its entire length. • Fit all contacts as described in point 5.6, also fitting can be done with former tool point 5.3, sheet 15. • Push collar 57 mm forwards under the screening braid - note position! • Push all 7 untwined screening braids back over the collar. 2.2.2 Securing cable • Push cable clamp over the screening braid and align it so that it is at 90 degrees to the key face of the collar. Note position relative

to contact a when doing this! • Before crimping check dimension 57 mm. • Using hand pliers V23599-M1015-C1 press together the crimp zone of the cable clamp. Pressure exerted by hand approx. 30 Nm. • Cut of shielding braid at the edge of the collar. Install connector holder and screening housing as described in point. 5.7

Use hand pliers V23599-M1015-C1 to fix cable clamp, cableand 4section star. Press together crimp zone of the cable clamp. Manual pressure exerted approx. 30 Nm.

If nessessery remove foil and filter Keep to minimum soldering temperature and time.

Remove dielectric to 32 -1 mm.

Slide 5 mm of Raychem heat-shrink tubing, ordering no. Nr. KYNAR-1/16-X, over the dielectric and heat shrink it over its entire length.

4.3.3 Assembly Sequence: Pressing contact block onto PCB Caution! only to be performed in the factory! Press contact block Onto PCB using the specified tool. If necessary equip PCB as per manufacturing document.


4.3.4 Assembly of max. 4 single coax cables in 4-section star up to 155 Mbit/s Snap connectorized PCB into contact block holder. Insert assembled contact block holder into inner screening housing shell. Insert cable pre mounted in 4-section star into inner screening housing shell and tighten

manually with nut. Solder cable as per manufacturing document, screen and inner conductor onto PCB.

Loosen nut, push outer screening housing shell over preassembled inner shell; the two parts lock

together audibly. Tighten nut SW 17, with approx 5 Nm.

5.6 IDC-Contact lamellae fitting with tool ordering no. V23599-M1019-S101 (Equal manufacturing steps as used with forma tools: V23599-M1019-S1, -S2, -S31, -S32) Handgrip, cutting slap and the angle-shaped cable separator turn to the right side. Lay the prepared cable in the cable holder with the crimping zone of the cable clamp

5.7 Assembly of contact lamellae container Assemble five contacts, wired as per manufacturing documents, in the sequence shown a...e and insert into the contact lamellae container (black). Contacts must face open side. Place cover (gray) over contact lamellae container. Assembly of the screening housing Snap closed contact-part holder into inner screening housing shell. Push outer screening housing shell over preassembled inner shell until the two parts audibly lock. Screw tight nut SW 12 - with torque of 3.5 Nm in the case of ½ SU. Screw tight nut SW 17 - with torque of 5 Nm.

5.8 Disassembly tools Cable connector opener for disassembling the screening housing for ½ SU and 1 SU - ordering no. V23599-M5025-E10

Unscrew the

nut from the cable connector. Use the tool for opening the screening housing to hook on the lamellae side in between the both screening housing parts. During untighten the locking catch you can remove the housing parts. Unplugging tool for the ½ SU und 1 SU cable connector For to loosen the plugged connector push the unplugging tool in between the cable connector and the adapter-bridge and untighten the locking catch. Now the cable connector is removable. Unplugging tool for ½ SU Cable connector Ordering no. V23599-M5029-U3 Handgrip for the above tool with the length 250 mm. Ordering no. V23599-M8001-U2 Unplugging tool for 1 SU Cable connector Ordering no. V23599-M5029-U1 Handgrip for the above tool with the length of 250 mm. Ordering no. V23599-M8001-U2
