    Word of Life

“Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not

prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to

such as these.’” ~ Matthew 25:35-36

    Something Looks Fishy Here

    How’s your Math? 52 + 40 = ?

52 fish plus 40 fish on the last two Saturday mornings =

It Equals two great fishing trips ! The families who

joined Fr. Ed to go fishing July 18 and 26 had a great time

hauling in their bountiful catch. Thanks to parishioners

Tony & Trudy Ventello for sharing their pond, and to the

all the young “fry,” their parents and grandparents who

came out for fun in the sun, and went home with fish for

    dinner.

Parish Day @ Mt. Pisgah - Second Chance

    This Tuesday, August 4

    8 am—8 pm Pool Pavilion

Fisher folk have another chance this Tuesday to

test the waters over at Mt. Pisgah; families and children

too, and to also enjoy the many other offerings of this

beautiful State Park: swimming, boating, hiking, a play-

ground, picnic food, friends and family, and more fun in

    the (hopefully) sun.

The parish has reserved the Pool Pavilion for us,

All Day, and will offer hot dogs and refreshments for as

long as they last. Bring your own picnic food and drink

favorites, your lawn chair, your swimsuit, and plan to en-

joy a relaxing and fun day among family

and friends in a pleasant scenic setting.

    175th Anniversary Logo

The final version of the 175th Anniversary Logo for our

2016-2017 parish celebration was approved by the Com-

mittee this past week. We are grateful to its designer, Joel

Christian, who has crafted a beautiful and meaningful

symbol to represent the faith, spirit and history of SS Peter

& Paul Parish. Watch the bulletin for further details.

From Mrs. Kasenga Twenty-seven years goes by very quickly when

you do something you love. I have been blessed with such

a vocation at St. Agnes School. I want to thank Father Ed

and the parish community for the gifts.

As a teacher and principal, it has meant a lot to

have had your support, prayers and commitment to the

students and school. We are blessed as a parish to have St.

Agnes School provide the students with Catholic values

and morals to face an ever changing world. I know that my

successor, Mr. Chad Shrawder, will continue the fine tradi-

    tion of our school.

Thank you again for everything and may God con-

tinue to shower us with His blessings.

    Sandra Kasenga
