SAT® School DaySupporting Student Success by Breaking Down BarriersThe College Board’s SAT® School Day program provides an opportunity for students to take the SAT in their home schools during the weekday. The College Board has partnered with states and districts to expand access for their students. The SAT School Day, offered in the fall and the spring, helps states and districts:
▶ Provide opportunity for all their students to test in their home school
▶ Foster a college-going culture
▶ Connect students to free college and career planning tools

Student BenefitsSAT School Day provides tangible benefits to students by removing barriers that prevent them from takingthis important step to college. Benefits include:

▶ Utilizing regular school transportation options
State and District Benefits SAT School Day offers states and districts access to:
▶ Closed Testing Environment: Only students within the district are allowed at the testing facility.
▶ Dynamic Reporting: Newly developed interactive reporting portal allowing for easier access to data across the College Board’s SAT Suite of Assessments (SAT, PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and PSAT™ 8/9).
▶ Better Progress Measurement: Ability to measure/track student progress across all exams in the SAT Suite of Assessments and identify gaps in skill levels so teachers can intervene and provide guidance.
▶ Free, personalized SAT practice at Khan Academy® : All students who take the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 can use their test results to receive free, personalized online SAT practice recommendations through Khan Academy, designed to help them where they need it most.

“ Our district did sign up for SAT School Day for a number of reasons. It’s all about access for kids, and it’s about equity. And for us, we wanted to be sure that we removed barriers that our students would be faced with – of getting to an SAT location on a Saturday, if they have to take care of younger siblings, or if they’re working .... But more importantly, we wanted to build college aspirations in all of our students. And sometimes students just don’t think they have it to go to college. Just taking that test can really change their life.”
