Dear Friends of the Everett Chorale: The Everett Chorale’s annual holiday season concert on December 5 & 6 at the Everett Performing Arts Center will mark the choir’s 50th Anniversary Season. We have scheduled a yearlong celebration of wonderful choral music for our golden anniversary season beginning with “CELEBRATE AND DANCE” featuring young dancers from The Dance School in downtown Everett and members of the professional dance company “Sapience Dance Collective” from the Seattle area. These groups will add a visual element to the Chorale’s performances of “A Day for Dancing” by Lloyd Pfautsch and scenes from the “Nutcracker Ballet” complete with words arranged by Fred Waring. The 80-voice Chorale will also perform a variety of secular Christmas songs which will bring back memories of days gone by and at the same time instill the joy and peace of Christmas present. You will want to tap your toe to “A Holly Jolly Christmas”, hum the harmony parts to “Silver Bells” and raise your voice to “Over the River and Through the Woods” as we take you on a fun-filled winter sleigh ride! You will get a chance to sing-along on our grand finale songs as we all “Deck the Hall” and then join in a unison chorus of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”. Please mark your calendar now and plan to join us on December 5 at 7 pm or December 6 at 3 pm in the Everett Performing Arts Center for “CELEBRATE AND DANCE”. This is a perfect way to get your holiday season off to a rousing and spirited start. Perhaps you would like to invite your friends and neighbors to join the celebration as well. After all, it is that time of the year to share the peace and joy of Christmas!Sincerely,Lee Mathews/Artistic Director-Conductor
