FAIR DEAL AT DIMMEYS COMMITTEE CLARIFICATION On Tuesday 23 February 2010, at the Heritage Victoria hearing, Fair Deal at Dimmeys Committee presented information related to the Dimmeys Development of 140 Swan Street Richmond. The presentation was made by Mr Ron Pinnell. Members of the community have since expressed concern regarding the impact and extent that the Committee is objecting about the proposed towers. Fair Deal at Dimmeys Committee has always believed that both the eight and eleven-storey towers, at the rear of the site, will have a detrimental and negative affect on the character, integrity, and heritage fabric of the landmark tower. Like the 700 people who signed petitions, we believe the application for a heritage permit should be rejected totally by Heritage Victoria. As can be seen by the attached correspondence to Heritage Victoria, (signed by Committee members), we believe the application for a heritage permit should be refused . Any information that does not show a complete refusal of the permit is not Fair Deal at Dimmeys Committee policy. We publish the attached signed document, in the public interest, which shows that Committee members feel that the application should be refused. FAIR DEAL AT DIMMEYS COMMITTEE

CLARIFICATION

On Tuesday 23 February 2010, at the Heritage Victoria hearing, Fair Deal at

Dimmeys Committee presented information related to the Dimmeys Development

of 140 Swan Street Richmond. The presentation was made by Mr Ron Pinnell.

Members of the community have since expressed concern regarding the impact

and extent that the Committee is objecting about the proposed towers.

Fair Deal at Dimmeys Committee has always believed that both the eight and

eleven-storey towers, at the rear of the site, will have a detrimental and negative

affect on the character, integrity, and heritage fabric of the landmark tower.

Like the 700 people who signed petitions, we believe the application for a heritage

permit should be rejected totally by Heritage Victoria.

As can be seen by the attached correspondence to Heritage Victoria, (signed by

Committee members), we believe the application for a heritage permit should

be refused.

Any information that does not show a complete refusal of the permit is not Fair

Deal at Dimmeys Committee policy. We publish the attached signed document, in

the public interest, which shows that Committee members feel that the application

should be refused.
