Supplier EntitlementReasoning, scope and major approach

• Based on email address and mobile number, supplier users receive a One-Time Password(OTP) via text message (SMS) on their mobile phone for each login

• Pilot phase for selected on-boarded supplier users in January 2018, followed by ramp-upafter lessons learned

• Deactivation of classic login for all supplier users planned as soon as possible

Supplier Entitlement is an access system for supplier users to get access to Siemensapplications via a unique 2-factor authentication:• Factor 1: Entitlement username / password• Factor 2: An additional factor (One-Time Password/OTP) provided to the respective user

First enter a new password (A); in the next step enter your mobile number or correct the displayed mobile number ifneeded (B); after clicking on “Change” (C) you will receive a security activation email which must be accepted (D).

Activate your mobile number by clicking on link (A); this takes you to the CES OTP Activation site (B); click on thebutton with your mobile number (C); you will receive a text message (SMS) on your mobile phone with a 4-digit codewhich you need to enter in the respective field (D); after clicking on ”Send” the activation confirmation (E) is displayed.

Log in to SCM STAR by clicking on link (A); you will be redirected to an authentication site (B); you need to click on “getotp” to receive a text message (SMS) on your mobile phone with a 6-digit code (C); after entering the code (D) andclicking on “log in” (E) you have entitled access to SCM STAR.

Use Case 2 –Regular supplier user login process

Please click on “Login to SCM STAR“ (A) under “Secured login”. After clicking on it, enter your email address and pass-word and click on “log in” (B). After selecting “OTP Weak via SMS Login” (C), you will receive a 6-digit code via SMS onyour mobile phone (D). Enter this OTP into the login mask (E) and you will be forwarded to the SCM STAR dashboard.

Usage of additional functionalities (preview)New functionalities directly addressable by supplier’s Main Contact

In the SCM STAR dashboard you will find two Custom Links for further functionalities: “SMDM - Initiate Update” and“SMDM - Direct Access to Request”. Both links and the corresponding functionalities are directly addressable by thesupplier’s Main Contact user.

Once logged in to SCM STAR with entitled access, you will be able to trigger supplier master data changes directly viaa click on the link “SMDM – Initiate Update” (A); you will then be forwarded to a workflow application presenting you thecurrent SCM STAR information with the possibility to adjust/add content (B).

Changes to Supplier Master Data triggered by Siemens can be directly verified via a click on the link “SMDM – DirectAccess to Request” (A) and separate notification; you will then be forwarded to a workflow application presenting youthe current SCM STAR information with the possibility to verify/adjust/add content (B).
