provides them a plethora of sports opportunities and additional support.

The club donated $4,875 from the proceeds of Wrobo Run that was organized on 7th Oct 2012. Tom DeVries and Luker received the donation from the club members, including Tania Kallish, Kim Reid, and Elizabeth Hordyk. Scott Luker said that he and his organization were very grateful to the Junior Woman's Club for the donation. He further described that after honoring them, the council focused towards more traditional business, and thus, took a break from honoring people. The members heard a report from the Office of Emergency Management on the response of town to Hurricane Sandy, and obtained comments from Township Administrator James Leach and Felter. He told that the majority of reports were focused on 2 major topics, including Christmas in the Village event and Hurricane Sandy.

Jefferson Challenger League has received many other accolades owing to the excellent activities organized by them for the special needs children of the city. Scott Luker described about one such activity (Baseball Little League Challenger Division) that was organized by The Jefferson Township Recreation Department for these children. The registration fee for the program was waived because of fundraiser efforts. The fee was $25 that included award, jersey, and a cap. Registration forms to manage, play, assistant coach, umpire, become a “buddy” to a player, or to work as a team parent were available in the lobby brochure racks at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building and Public Library, and at the Jefferson Township Recreation Office that is located at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road.

Scott Luker was the Team Director of the event and individuals who to seek more information about this league can call him at 973-902-4770.
