composition, emotion and detail fusing brush and palette

knife work. Cyndy’s signature “drawn” images are created

King Galleries is one the premier Native art galleries in the

country. Established in 1996 the gallery features pottery

by today’s leading artists and important signed historic

work from the 1920’s onward. The focus is on creativity,

innovation and quality.

Travel & Leisure Magazine wrote of the gallery, “This

exceptional gallery showcases Native American pottery. It

successfully manages to elevate the underappreciated art

form beyond the clichés that have overshadowed its beauty.”

Cowboys & Indians Magazine wrote in 2018, “In the

forefront is Charles King of King Galleries. He is considered

by many to be the dean of contemporary southwestern

Native clay arts. Today King represents virtually all of the top

southwestern Native ceramics artists. He respects tradition

but also encourages artists to stretch beyond expectation.”

Delicately emerging from the landscape, Diamond Bloom

serves as an icon marking the southern edge of the

Scottsdale Arts District. Reminiscent of a cactus flower, the

sculpture’s radiant changing qualities of light, shadow, and

color contribute to its dynamic botanical form. Two upward

sweeping arcs converge above creating a passageway to the

formal entrance of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of

the West. The brass panels, dichroic glass fins, and colored

lights are strategically placed to produce a luminous colorplay

both day and night.

first large-scale sculpture. The bronze stands over eight feet

high on its base and is modeled after Scottsdale’s official city

seal, a rider astride a bucking horse.

“Jack Knife has a reverence for the Old West. It is not

traditional, but yet it has a traditional theme. The angularity

accelerates the power and energy of the rider and horse, more

Our authentic old west heritage distinguishes Old Town from other destinations. However, we have never been stuck in the past. Locals have come to appreciate us for our world-renowned cuisine and

shopping, contemporary art galleries, western museums, evolving bar and nightlife scene, year-round events and boutique hotels ideal for stay-cations. We offer visitors the best of both worlds – new and

exciting amenities in a walkable town that still honors the western trail that brought us here.
