Exciting News!
I am so excited to tell you that we will have a college intern in our
classroom two days a week for the fall. Miss Stephanie Campos
(Rockville H.S. Class of 09) is a student at Bowie State University.
She will be coming on Tuesdays and Thursdays to learn more about
the teaching profession. Miss Stephanie was Ms. Hellmans high
school intern for the 2008-2009 school year so she knows the ropes!

directions of the game are below if you would like to play at

triangle and circle taped on floor. Describe location
of where each beanbag lands using positional words:
top, middle, bottom, above, below, in front of, in
back of, between, inside, and outside.Record tallies to keep track
of where beanbags land and to reinforce counting!
Wednesday In Whole Group Reading, we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What
Do You See? and Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See? By Bill
Martin Jr. and made a Venn diagram to compare them.
We also read Alphabet Adventure By Don and Audrey Wood and
made our own matching game to take home and practice letter
matching!
In Science and Social Studies, we had a
very special lesson about Rosh
Hashana, the Jewish holiday that
begins tonight at sundown. We used
our five senses to discover what a
shofar is (a rams horn that is blown to
announce the new year.)
Avery raises her hand and waits for her turn.
