The College Application
Process
Take the Test!
• Make sure you sign up and take the SAT and/or ACT this semester! Make sure you list the schools you would like to receive your scores (IU, Purdue, etc.) when you sign up online for the test.
Search for Schools
• Use the College link under Resources in the YHS Guidance page to search for schools matching your interests and/or having your planned major.
Select your School(s)
• Narrow your list. Think about schools in 3 categories: "Reach", "Target" and "Safe". Choose at least one school from each category and consider applying. Be sure to consider the application costs!
