Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) London is an alumni driven charity

SEO Careers provides outstanding students from under-represented backgrounds accelerated access to internships and graduate roles at the TOP firms in investment banking, management consulting, professional services, corporate law, technology, advertising, TV, film, radio, music and publishing

SEO Scholars helps outstanding secondary school students from under-privileged backgrounds to improve their attainment and university / career options

80% of the 3,400+ undergraduates SEO has supported since 2000 have gone on to secure full-time graduate positions with SEO partner firms

SEO provides supported students with education, training, mentoring, accelerated access and wide support networks to ensure their success

In 2013 to date SEO has already helped provide internships and graduate roles for more than 850+ BME undergrads (in EVERY year of study) with more than 80 partner firms – we’re on track to help at least 100 more this year!

In 2014 SEO will be able to provide more than 1,000 internships and graduate roles with over 100 employers!

SEO Scholars

SEO Scholars• SEO Scholars helps provide talented secondary school students from under

privileged backgrounds with a range of support services to improve their academic attainment and progression to university and elite careers

• SEO Scholars works in partnership with nearly 40 state schools across all of London and is supported by leading universities and existing SEO partner firms

More than 2,300 year 11-13 students applied for a place on the scheme, 750 of the most talented were selected to be Scholars

• SEO provides all Scholars four types of out of school support: Year round mentoring from (1) undergraduates studying the degree subject the student is

interested in (2) City professionals in a career the Scholar is considering Work insight/experience with SEO partner firms (including access to bursaries, gap year

programmes, university support) 60+ hours of training during holidays (e.g. helping year 12s with UCAS applications, Oxbridge

interviews, etc.) Placement on top university access schemes / summer schools

• This year more than 80% of Year 13 Scholars secured their first choice university or better!
