Faithfulness leads to responsibility. A good financial planner doesn’t keep the money he receives from his clients. He invests it wisely so he can present his clients with more than they had before. In the same way, we’re responsible to invest what God has given us. When Jesus left the earth, He put each of us in charge of a portion of His resources. Jesus is coming back, and in Matthew 24, Jesus compares His return with a master who left his servants in charge of his household. Like the master in the story, Jesus will hold us accountable for what we’ve been given. Those God can trust to use money wisely will be given more, and those He can’t trust will be given less. God’s not picking favorites. He wants His wealth to be used to make the most impact before Jesus comes back. If a financial planner pockets his clients’ money, he won’t be in business for long. The same is true for us. God tends to give more wealth to people who are using it for His kingdom, not just for themselves. When we are faithful with a little, it shows we can be faithful with a lot. Think About: 1. If you were your own financial planner, would you fire yourself? Why or why not? 2. How have you been faithful with what you’ve been given? 3. What are three ways you can begin to be faithful with a little to prepare for being faithful with a lot? Pray: Jesus, thank You for trusting me with Your wealth. Show me how You want me to invest it so You get the most glory.

PLEASE! If you turn the light on,

turn it off when you leave.

If you turn up the thermostat,

turn it back down when you

leave.

This will help lower

our utility bills.

Exciting news from The Refuge. The last 2 weeks, we have had a full band with the addition of drums and a bass guitar. It really has taken our worship experience to the next level. Also, the last 2 weeks our attendance has gone up significantly with 67 and 49. Our hope is that once everyone gets back into a routine with the kids be-ing back in school that those numbers will continue to climb. Please, if you know anyone who is looking for a great church with a great contemporary worship experience tell them about "The Refuge" at FCC. Don't forget to pray that God will continue to use this service to reach out to the many in our commu-nity who do not have a church home.

The Dave Ramsey

Financial Peace

University Class will

begin Monday,

September 10, at

7:00 pm in the

church parlor. The

class will run on

Mondays for

9 weeks.

If you have any

questions, please see or call Randy Goering (620-786-5881), Clayton Noffsinger (620-617-3364),

or Debbie Noffsinger (620-793-0604).

Wednesday, September 19, at 6 pm and

running for 6-7 weeks every Wednesday

after that, we are starting up our Adult

Bible Study. The goal of this study is to

teach you how to use your technology to

delve deeper into the Bible by learning

how to work with the Greek language.

Now I know this sounds a bit over-

whelming, but I promise you it is not.

Anyone can do this, and it is something

that once you learn it, you will be able

to explore scripture in ways you never

imagined.

What you need to bring is a device you

can connect to the internet with, like a

Smart Phone, tablet, or laptop. If you

don't have this technology, just bring

your Bible. I will be putting what I am

doing up on the screen so everyone can

follow along.

Dear Rev. Bishop & Youth Group:

Thanks to your generous gift of $100.00 to the

Regional food Bank of Oklahoma, you are helping

ensure that fellow Oklahomans who are living with

hunger have access to nutritious food.

Your gift makes a tremendous difference in our ability

to serve the hundred of thousands of Oklahomans we

serve each year.

When you choose to give to the Regional Food Bank,

you are not just providing meals, you are providing

hope. Thank you for your commitment in

“Fighting Hunger...Feeding Hope”.

Gratefully,

Katie Fitzgerald, MSW
