• An app for hearing and speech impaired

The hope App

• Translates spoken words (speech) into sign language with an animated 3D character and vice versa.

• Anything a normal person (who doesn’t know sign language) says is immediately translated into sign language which will be shown by an animated 3D character on the screen of the mobile.

• The hearing impaired person shows his sign language in front of the phone camera and hope app will translate his sign language into speech.

• In schools anything written on a smart board will be transmitted as text to the mobile by Bluetooth and then the text will be converted to sign language by the app.

Entrants must be High School students

Entrants must produce a poster for display throughout the Marathon

Open to teams (max.3 persons) or individuals

Send by ( 1st of April, 2017) a 5 minutes video demonstrating a fully working demo of the project.

Accepted projects must present their project to judges in sessions

Selected finalists must publicly present their project in the final round

Judges decisions are final

Be able to sell your project: involve excellent communication skills.

The presenter should master very well the description of application’s main features.

Answer correctly judge’s questions, and provide justifications when necessary.
