As countries develop in the 21st Century so does their need for energy. This of course, comes at a cost, and Thailand is a good example. The country has risen to become a leader in the ASEAN economic region but its demand for energy has unfortunately kept pace. The Ministry of Energy balances 3 pillars of energy security, economy on sustainability. That is why the Thai government stands firmly to promote the use of renewable energy throughout the country.

Today, modernization of the country’s energy sector is a top priority. In fact more efficient energy sources and usage are resulting in keeping manufacturing costs and prices more evenly balanced. This in turn helps make the country more internationally competitive. And as the use of more expensive power falls and is replaced by Renewable Energy sources the brighter Thailand’s future becomes.

RENEWABLE ENERGY ASIA 2016 is honored to be a part of ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week - (ASE) 2016 - which comes at the perfect time. The Ministry of Energy has been a long-time supporter of the event.

The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency and Energy Policy and Planning Office under the Ministry of Energy will also feature important activities and seminars relating to renewable energy. Also policies for entrepreneurs and investors will be presented.
