Yet he is not interested in worldly pleasures; thereby he is the best among all saints (mendicants). He is protecting the entire world with eight of his forces. It is not an eye unless it sees God in everything. It is not a hand until it is folded while worshiping God. One can claim he has done some work only when he remembers God always.

या कुन्देन्दु�ुशारहारधर्वा�ा या शुभ्रर्वास्त्रार्वाृ�ा या र्वाीणार्वारदण्डमण्डिण्ड�करा या शे्व�पद्मासना | या ब्रह्माच्यु�शन्करप्र;ृति�भि;ः देर्वाैः सदा र्वान्दिन्द�ा सा मां पा�ु सरस्र्वा�ी ;गर्वा�ी तिनःषेशर्जाड्यापहा || One who is as white as a garland of kunda flowers and waterdrops, who has worn white apparel, whose hand is placed on the stem of the vINA, who is sitting on a white lotus, and who is always worshipped by Gods such as Brahma, Achyuta (Vishnu) and Shankara, that Sarasvati, who completely steals (one's) lethargy may bless me ||.

आकाशा�् पति��ं �ोयं यथा गच्छति� सागरं | सर्वा�देर्वानमस्कारः केशरं्वा प्रति�गच्छति� || As all the water fallen from the skies goes to the sea, similarly salutations to any God finally reach Keshava.

कराग्रे र्वास�े �क्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्र्वा�ी | करमू�े �ु गोतिर्वान्दः प्र;ा�े करदश�नम् || Laxmi resides at the tip of the hand, sarasvati in the middle, Govinda at the root. Hence one should take "darshan" of one's hand in the morning.

काकः कृष्णः पिकः कृष्णः को भेदः पिककाकयोः | वसन्तसमये प्राप्ते काकः काकः पिकः पिकः || The crow is black, and the cuckoo is black. What is the difference between the two ? It is when spring arrives that the crow is identified as the crow, and the cuckoo, the cuckoo.

अश्वस्य भूषणं वेगो मत्तं स्याद ्गजभूषणं | चातुय" भूषणं नाया$ उद्योगो नरभूषणं || speed is the ornament of the horse, the intoxicated state is the ornament of the elephant. Cleverness is the ornament of a woman, and industriousness is the ornament of a man.

Eight qualities adorn a man : Intellect, good character, self control. knowledge, valor, not talking too much, being charitable as per his (financial) strength and gratitude.

May the elephant faced one (Ganapati) whose mother is umA devi. whose father is sha.nkara and who gives knowledge to everybody, bless us.
