What is Abbeysteel™ Reused Material?

Elements within your units will be made from Abbeysteel™. This is re-used steel sourced from the “Automotive Industry” and is a by-product from their manufacturing processes.

Where does the re-used steel come from?

The steel used to manufacture elements of Silverline’s m:line and Executive filing cabinets is re-used material from the automotive industry.

Parts such as doors, sunroofs, windows and boot cut-outs are taken from the car and cut to size

Re-used V Recycled Content of Steel

REUSED This means to re-use an

item again for the same function or for a new-life in a different function through taking materials or products and reusing them, without re-processing to save energy and resources.

RECYCLED Recycling means that the

paper, glass, aluminium, steel, or plastic that you separate for recycling is re-processed, cleaned and purified and then comes back in its original form as new paper, glass, aluminium, steel or plastic.

Steel is one of the most recycled materials. Recycling of this material consumes vast amounts of energy and requires other raw materials within the process.

How are my units green?

Elements within the units supplied will be made from re-used steel, which has significantly less impact on the environment than recycled steel.
