SJRA to Host Briefings on Construction of Water Transmission Pipelines
Starting in the fall of 2015, the San Jacinto River Authority GRP Division will begin
treating water from Lake Conroe for delivery to local water utilities where it will be blended
with existing groundwater supplies for use by customers in Conroe, The Woodlands,
Montgomery Trace, Crown Oak Ranch, Montgomery County WCID No. 1, Southern
Montgomery County MUD, Oak Ridge North, and Rayford Road MUD. Approximately 57
miles of water transmission pipelines will be constructed to deliver this water to the various
receiving facilities.
In order to share information and educate customers about the location of the
transmission lines and to help mitigate the impact that construction will have on the residents
of Montgomery County, the SJRA GRP Team is continuing its communication efforts by
hosting two informational sessions that will be held on February 22nd and 23rd. GRP Team
members will be on hand to present information and answer any questions or concerns you
may have.
The sessions will cover the same material, and you are invited to attend either session:
