Sourcing Manager Job Ad (Jan 2018) Page 1 of 1 Sourcing Manager – 18-Month Contract We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Management team on an 18-month contract. The ideal candidate is a results-driven and resourceful sourcing professional who is a natural leader and who comes with: a proven track record in leading high profile, complex projects and who can drive progress on deliverables on multiple concurrent projects strong relationship management skills and a zest for motivating teams in striving for and delivering value on cost-effective products and services that contribute to generating savings and process efficiencies for our customers You will work closely with senior officials, procurement professionals, and subject matter experts from our customer organizations to understand their business needs, provide strategic advice and recommendations on leading practices. In addition, you will lead the collaborative sourcing and procurement process by: Developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies, spend category intelligence, analytics and business cases that introduce and promote innovative sourcing solutions and initiatives to deliver significant cost reductions and/or service improvement opportunities for customers Providing expert advice on products and services based on industry knowledge, and market research through supplier consultations; interpreting and understanding procurement policies, procedures, requirements and laws in order to obtain the best solutions, while mitigating reputational and procurement risks Leading high-risk and high-value sourcing projects; preparing and executing the full-cycle of competitive bidding (RFX) events; facilitating wide-ranging customer perspectives from teams comprised of subject matter experts and cross-functional business leaders from multiple organizations; ensure teams are managed and coordinated in a manner that achieves optimum results and deadlines met Leading negotiations with suppliers with respect to pricing and contractual business terms and drafting of commercial contracts that drive value for money Building relationships and maintaining networks to keep abreast of and be connected to customers’ needs, market trends and leading practices Working closely with the Business Relationship Manager to provide input to the plan for marketing new products or services, ensuring that messages are aligned with customers’ goals. Skills and Requirements: Supply management certification, business degree or relevant experience Advanced knowledge of Procurement Law Excellent understanding of commercial agreement terms and conditions Strong business planning, project leadership, collaboration, and change management skills Expertise in innovative sourcing/procurement principles and best practices Experience with the public sector procurement legislative framework and policies an asset Advanced negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and persuasion skills Advanced verbal, written communications, presentation and facilitation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, e-tendering systems, webinar tools, etc. Occasional travel to any and all regions of Ontario. Sourcing Manager – 18-Month Contract We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Management team on an 18-month contract.
