At South Regional TAFE, we deliver quality vocational education and training to people in the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia, and as far east as Esperance. With a nationally recognised qualification from South Regional TAFE, students are equipped with the skills to take them into real jobs. The journey to training and a new career can start with an enquiry about suitable courses, so contact your local campus and discuss your study options with the friendly staff. You’ll find a list of all the campuses and the contact details on the back of this guide.

For people facing financial challenges, we offer a choice of ways to pay your course fees.• Concessional rates are available for eligible

students• Those taking a Diploma or Advanced

Diploma may apply for a student loan through the Federal Government’s VET Student Loans scheme.

• For students who are no longer at school, were born on or after 1 July 1999, at least 15 years old and have completed year 10, course fees are capped at $420 in 2017, regardless of the number of courses and short courses taken. (Resource fees still apply.)

• Choose to spread the cost of your training with a payment plan.

Talk to the staff at your local campus to determine your best option.

COURSE GUIDE SEMESTER 2 2017

We’re here to support you every step of the way to give you the best chance of reaching your potential. To help people improve their literacy in preparation for further study or to become more competitive in the job market, we offer a range of adult education courses at all levels.People with disability or medical issues have access to support from the Disability Liaison Officer, and the college’s Aboriginal Programs branch develops training programs for Aboriginal people, and supports their participation in mainstream courses. This vital support promotes student engagement in meaningful learning and improves their employment outcomes.

Our lecturers are professionals who are knowledgeable in their study area. They have established relationships with people in business and industry, so they know what employers are looking for.Facilities for study and research are modern and of industry standard, in the trades workshops, computer rooms, media studios, hair and beauty salons, training kitchens and laboratories. Students have access to a massive database of information, as well as books and online resources, through the libraries servicing all campuses.

Help to achieve your best

Industry-standard training

Many students who gain knowledge and a qualification from our college go on to work in their local area, while others take their skills to another part of Australia – or even overseas. Our pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship and traineeship programs give students the skills to become qualified and make their name in their chosen trade.Committed lecturers understand the demands of business and industry operators and know the qualities employers are looking for in their workforce.Taking appropriate skills into jobs, students have an advantage from day one.
