We are the UK’s most famous and well-established deckchair design and manufacturing company, offering an unrivalled range of covers and more styles than you can shake a stick at.

First, of course, is the classic deckchair with its pleasingly impudent bright stripe of every colour imaginable. Then there are our designer collections, ranging from the fanciful canopied Edwardian to that tribute to 1960s glamour, the Catalan and our innovation, the Wideboy – for the loving couple when two chairs are just too far apart.

Thoughts of summers past and those yet to come inspire our range of models, fabrics and beautiful designs. So sit back, pour yourself a nice cool drink and enjoy…

The SouthseaDeckchair

This familiar cheerful friend has become a popular fashion accessory for everyone’s garden. Handily compact and comfortable, the traditional seaside deckchair has been our core product since the company began over 20 years ago.

You can choose from a rainbow of different colours and a kaleidoscope of vibrant patterns. But they are more than just a pretty face. Our deckchairs are built for great strength and a noticeably more solid feel than some of the more spindly domestic deckchairs.

All of our timber frames are made with exceptionally durable Merpauh from sustainable forests and treated with teak oil. This provides excellent protection against the elements and wear, and a fine finish to enhance the natural appearance.

The Wideboy

Blue sky thinking (literally) got us to come up with this fun and logical extension to the original blueprint. Like all the best ideas, it was obvious once we’d thought it up.

Widely featured in the media, these double-size chairs are perfect for two people to sit comfortably side by side, or just for people who like to lounge about and have extra space next to them to keep a few books or magazines within easy reach.

Our Wideboys are also ideal for children to sit comfortably with their friends, or for indulging the pet who does not want to leave your side. Think of it as an outdoor sofa for your patio.

The CatalanSo sophisticated and luxurious is this gorgeous glamourpuss, styled from a 1960s Spanish sunlounger, that people have been known to fall seriously in love with it. Totally laid-back in every way, this chair is actually the only one of its kind in the UK. Put your feet on the foot rest, gently lean back and watch the (occasional) cloud float by in the sky while you gently drift off to sleep.

The Tennis ChairThis genuine Tennis Chair is supremely comfortable, portable and hard wearing, it is ideal for meals outdoors, garden parties, or to take to concerts and sporting events. A great accompaniment for your garden table and other outdoor furniture, this solid hardwood chair is robust and very easy to get into and out of.

The ItalianBellissima, isn’t it? An elegantly styled folding chair but as strong as a good red wine. Perfect for outdoor use, all day every day, it is made from sustainable timber and lovingly treated with teak oil to give a fine natural looking finish that will withstand years of weathering throughout its long and graceful life. Windbreaks

Minis

Take the sand out of sandwiches and generate envy amongst your fellow beachgoers with our gorgeous windbreaks. Providing welcome shelter on the beach or at your campsite, they are the perfect accompaniment to your deckchairs. Designed from the highest quality cotton or acrylic, and solid hardwood to be very strong and hard-wearing, they will feature in every holiday photo for years to come. So choose carefully from our almost infinite range of colours, from modern and funky right through to traditional patterns.

MINI cars, mini skirts and now the Mini Deckchair – all icons in their own right. These jolly sturdy little half sizes for half pints (aged 2-5 years) are exact miniature versions of the grown-up Southsea Deckchairs, with all the colours and patterns their little hearts desire. The Sauna Deckchair

Do you suffer from mysteriously collapsing tables, or, even more eerily, tables that open up all by themselves? Banish them forever with this attractive table fashioned from solid Merpauh wood. The cantilever design is such that when folded there is even a natural carrying handle. Originally intended for garden use, these tables are equally useful in the home.

Beach BagThe larger shower-proof carry bag for the beach is cunningly differentiated from the shopping bag in that its candy stripes run horizontally. It is made to last, no matter how many damp towels and apples are crammed into it.
