April 2018 Dear Sponsor: The Alzheimer’s Association is a global organization working to advance care, support and research across the world. From face-‐to-‐face support to online education programs and promising international research initiatives, your dollars make a difference in the lives of millions affected by Alzheimer’s today and those who will face the disease tomorrow. Every dollar helps to strengthen our efforts while moving us closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. In the state of Rhode Island, an estimated 23,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s and over 53,000 are acting as caregivers. The 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Rhode Island raised over a half million dollars to provide care and support to these individuals. As we walk at three different locations in 2018: Providence, Newport and Westerly, we are an army of over 4,000 poised to take on America’s most costly and worrisome disease. But we need your help. In this packet, you will see how your sponsorship can make a difference in the lives of those who are affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementia. We ask that you consider carefully a level that best demonstrates your commitment to this cause and in turn, you will help us: Provide care and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s. Educate and raise awareness to grow understanding of the disease. Speak up for the needs and rights of people affected by Alzheimer’s. And drive research toward treatment, prevention and ultimately a cure. Please partner with us to end Alzheimer’s disease by joining as a Sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Please contact me via email at [email protected] or by calling 800-‐272-‐3900 should you have any questions. Together we can,
