VoTe @ the library Tuesday April 3, 2012
The proposed FY 2012-2013 budget reflects the Library Board’s commitment to main-tain support for our library and its popular programs and services while managing cost increases for our community. Increased support from the Friends of the Library and the AWPL Foundation have allowed us to maintain lower than average cost increases.
For FY 2012-2013 the Library Board proposes to increase the library tax rate from $2.88 to $2.94/$1,000 of assessd value for Warwick property owners and from $0.67 to $0.68/$1,000 for Chester property owners in our Library district. While rates are estimated, the average increase would be $2.50 -$3.00 a year.
A public hearing on the proposed Library tax levy is scheduled for Tuesday March 27th at 7pm in the Community Room at the Library.

Friends of the libraryWoRlD BooK NIGHTApril 23World Book Night is a worldwide celebration of reading and books. During the day you will see Friends of the library in many Warwick locations sharing books with others in our community to spread the joy and love of reading.
CHIlDReN’S USeD BooK SAleSave the Date ~ May 12Choose from our extensive collection of children’s board books, picture books, chapter books, teen and young adult titles, and many childhood favorites. Most books are $1 or less! It’s a simple truth that the more kids read, the better readers they become. The best way to get children to read more is to let them choose books they enjoy reading. Bring the children and stop by the Friends Children’s Book Sale on Saturday, May 12th.
During the month of April please donate your gently used children’s books for others to enjoy.
