Sprint E-Mail Protection Services add an

Internet-based layer of defense against malicious

code penetration, unwanted spam, virus infection

Sprint messaging servers geographically

distributed across the country and then passed

on to you. So there’s no need to change or

modify your corporate e-mail infrastructure

Features include:

E-Mail server and network protection. With

the Sprint solution, you have one MX record

that points to the Sprint network.

Sprint servers mask your enterprise’s IP

address, protecting your network and your

servers from SMTP-based attacks.

Blocking capabilities. Sprint can reject

both inbound and outbound messages based

on policy rules and message attributes before

they leave your corporate e-mail system.

Potentially destructive, objectionable and

unwanted files are unable to gain access to

your e-mail infrastructure.This feature also

prevents sensitive and confidential data from

leaving your network.

Automatic store and forward for disaster

recovery. If your e-mail server becomes

unavailable for any reason, Sprint ensures that

no e-mail is lost or bounced. Once service is

restored, all stored mail is automatically

forwarded in a flow-controlled fashion.

Outbound services. Sprint outbound relay

service directs your outbound e-mail traffic

through the Sprint network.This safety

mechanism provides a layer of protection

and anonymity while it:

Spam filtering. Our proprietary, multi-layer

spam technology automatically filters unsolicited

e-mail before it enters your corporate messaging

designed with the enterprise in mind, so that

business-critical e-mail is not misidentified and

filtered out as spam. All messages are run

through three separate layers of advanced

The Message Quarantine feature provides

• Offsite quarantine — service collects and

quarantines mail off-premises from corporate

Virus scanning. The Sprint solution provides

libraries daily or weekly, Sprint updates

definitions every 10 minutes. As soon as new

viruses are discovered and new definitions are
