A Note from the Administrator...

P. Mike

Dear friends,

Queridos amigos,

Una nota del Administrador...

Every Christmas and Easter we see them and move closer in the pews for them --- the “lily and poinsettia” Catholics who no longer practice their weekly Eucharist spiritual rhythm, but still come back to Church twice a year drawn by custom or sentimentality or insistent Grandmas or …? Whatever their reason, we’re so happy to have them … to have you. There are many reasons people leave the Catholic church, and some of them are pretty compelling. Scandals, rude priests, pretentious ceremonies, boredom, the list goes on. But there is one super compelling reason to stay connected: where people gather in his name, Jesus is present in some remarkable special moving way. And where Jesus walks, there is life and hope. If you’re one of our regular church mice who’s always here and knows the satisfaction and joy of a deep ongoing relationship with the Savior of the world … WELCOME!!! We’re glad you’re here; there’d be no church without you. And if you’re here very rarely or just for today … we’re just as glad to have you. God entered the world to suffer, die and rise … all to reach out to you. And if you’re that special to God, you’re special to us too. Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

We began Advent talking about preparing the house of God. Today Christ is born of a virgin who prepared herself to welcome the Messiah to the world. Truly today is a day of celebra on with friends and family. A day in a season filled with generosity and giving just as our God generously gave his only son to the world and how that son would later selflessly give his life for us. Saint Margaret Mary is blessed to see that divine generosity in ac on through our family here. We as a parish came together, looked at our worship space and responded with an outpouring of generosity and now our Rebuild. Refresh. Renew. campaign has exceeded $2.2 million and we are on our way to having the diocese approve this project. There is s ll plenty of work le to do in the New Year as we push towards our goal of $3.5 million. We will conclude advent with a final appeal as the school seeks to raise funds by Catholic Schools week. As for those of you who have prayed about your commitment and would like to fit in some extra generosity into your year or start the New Year with a pledge to your parish there are pledge cards in the back of the church that you can leave at the altar (Please make checks payable to: St. Margaret Mary with Rebuild. Refresh. Renew in the memo line) and an online giving op on through Our Sunday Visitor that can be found on our Saint Margaret Mary website. If you have any ques ons feel free to call the office at (909)591-7400 or our campaign manager Trent Zimmermann at (949)413-8929
