ASH WEDNESDAY Ash Wednesday will be celebrated this week Wednesday, March 1st and is a day of both Fast and Abstinence.
1. ALL Catholics aged 18 to 59 years are obliged to fast. Only ONE full meal is permitted. The other two meals should be of lesser quantity than one normally eats, and no snacks or candy, (not even gum!) are permitted between meals. Liquids and beverages of any kind however, are permitted and may be taken at any time. Note: persons with health problems requiring special diets are exempt from fasting.
2. ALL Catholics Of All Ages of 7 years and upwards are obliged to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, and also on all Fridays during Lent.

ALTAR SERVERS’ TRAINING
There will be an Altar Servers’ Training with Fr. Eugene for all Altar Servers (old and new, Sunday, February 26th in the Church at 5:30 p.m.
SAINT MARY’S WOMEN’S COUNCIL
Our annual “Happy Hearts” celebration — Pot-Luck will be on Monday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Lou Clarke’s home, 1551 Lower Tonk Valley Rd. The theme will be “Mardi Gras”. Couples only. Please bring a dish to share!
COMMUNION FOR THE SICK/HOMEBOUND
If anyone is sick, homebound, in the hospital or in a Nursing home please let the parish office know, (but not those who have cold or flu) so that Eucharistic Ministers could be assigned to take communion to them on Sunday.
ASH WEDNESDAY Please note that Wednesday this week, March 1st is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. The Mass times at St. Mary Parish (at which time ashes will be distributed) will be as follows: 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
LENTEN DEVOTIONS — WAYS OF THE CROSS
Friday this week, March 3rd, and every Friday during Lent, we will have Ways of the Cross at 6:00 p.m. (In English) and at 7:00 p.m. (In Spanish).
LENTEN FISH FRY
The KOC will be serving an All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry meal Friday, March 3rd from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The cost is $10 for Adults and $5 for children.

CONFESSIONS AND ROSARY When last did you receive the sacrament of Reconciliation — the forgiveness of sins? Please note that Confessions are heard every Saturday afternoon from 5:00 p.m. till 5:45 p.m. in the church. This
is followed by the Rosary from 5:45 p.m. till 5:55 p.m. and then Mass at 6:00 p.m. Please remember though that Fr Ray will hear confession at any time, on request.
