Dear Parishioners,

In this month of November, we remember all of our loved ones who have gone before us to be with the Lord. We are all on a pilgrim journey through this life back to where we came from; to be with God our Father in heaven. In this life, we are attached to one another but in the life to come, we will all be completely united to God. Our readings ask the question; Who is our spouse in heaven? In this life, we all need companions for our journey, but in eternity we will all be one in and with the Lord Jesus who is our Savior. Jesus came to teach us about God’s love, compassion, and mercy and when we pass from this temporal life to the eternal life, we will be completely united to Him and all of our loved ones will be in that same presence. Let us pray that we may recognize and embrace our Lord in this life as He leads us safely home to His Father and our Father in Heaven. This week we celebrate Veterans Day as we remember and honor all those men and women who have served our great country. This is truly a time to give thanks to all who served in our military protecting our freedom. We are blessed by their courage and sacrifice. It is important to not only thank them, but also to pray for them especially for those involved in combat because their sacrifices may have resulted in traumatic experiences and they truly need our prayers as well as our thanks.
