Stanwood Middle School Performance Report Stanwood Middle School Stanwood Middle School has a current enrollment of approximately 493 students serving grades 6, 7 and 8. Students participate in six classes each day, which include core subjects and electives. Students also participate in an advisory class once per week where they receive lessons with a social, emotional and academic focus. Students in 6 th grade have after school clubs, while 7 th and 8 th grade students may participate in a variety of sports, activities and clubs. Our Mission School Improvement Plan Goals Stanwood Middle School has been continuously working on goals in reading and math. Stanwood Middle School is working diligently with all students to surpass the target goals set by the state. We are focusing our instruction around best teaching practices by utilizing the 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning. Math, reading, writing and science work is ongoing. Our goals are to increase student achievement in all areas and maintain consistent student growth over time.
