3DLevelScanner S
The 3DLevel Scanner – Model S determines the average volume
of bulk solids stored in small silos with diameters of up to 4
meters (13 eet) and height up to 70 meters (230 feet). It
incorporates APM’s proprietary non-contact dust-penetrating
technology enabling it to overcome the challenges of harsh,
dusty environments regardless of the type or characteristics of
the material being stored.APM software provides continuous
readings of the measurements for display on remote screens to
facilitate timely intervention and maintenance.
3DLevelScanner M
The 3DLevel Scanner – Model M maps the entire surface area of
practically any kind of bulk solids stored in large silos, open bins
and stockpiles (up to 15 meters / 49 feet in diameter and heights
of up to 70 meters / 230 feet), and generates highly accurate
measurements of the level and volume of the contents. It
incorporates APM’s proprietary non-contact dust-penetrating
technology enabling it to overcome the challenges of harsh,
dusty environments regardless of the type or characteristics of
the material being stored. APM software provides continuous
readings of the volume measurements for display on remote
screens to facilitate timely intervention and maintenance
3D MultiVision Software
Having the needed information available on the right
person’s computer is great, but having this same
information available to all relevant people, any time, any
place is the real deal. With this ability the organization can
really use the information to generate results. Now APM
makes this possible by connecting its 3DMultiVision
software to a web server and making the information visible
through any smartphone.
3D Volumetric Scanner MVL
The APM Multi-Scanner System is comprised of two or more
3DLevelScanners Model MVL, extending APM’s innovative
volume and level measurement technology to cover very wide
silos, domes, and other very large open bins, bulk storage rooms,
stockpiles and warehouses. This unique system measures
practically any kind of solid material, and effectively provides
accurate volume measurements critical for inventory and
production process control in many industrial applications. Each
System is supplied with APM 3DVisionTM software for
Windows-based computers
The software processes measurement data recorded by APM’s
MultiScanner System sensors installed on the silo / open bin /
warehouse. A special algorithm combines the data from the
scanners of the System, presents vessel general information as
well as measurement data such as:
Volume
Min/max level/distance
Mass (with a given density)
It also generates a 3D representation of actual allocation of
product within the silo or bin or warehouse for display on remote
computer screens.
Volcan
APM is now offering managers real answers to their ESP’s fly
ash needs, the Volcan®. The Volcan was designed specifically
for installations inside ESP hoppers, above the fly ash. Using a 3
horn array the scanner maps the entire surface of the material,
not just one point, to collect necessary data. This means that
managers can now literally see in real time what is going on
inside the hopper The Volcan is dust penetrating, precise even
with low dielectric constant material and its inherent self-
cleaning technology is very effective. These features qualify it as
a highly suitable solution for the harsh fly ash environment.
APM’s Volcan presents the flay ash profile on the control
workstation
Knowing the actual situation within the hopper allows managers
to make informed decisions and control the process better. This
could mean taking preventive measures such as turning hopper
wall heating on where build-up seems to be starting. It could also
mean less frequent hopper emptying and early detection of
system malfunctions. As the only solution on the market to give
continuous real time volumetric readings of the fly ash, the
Volcan truly allows managers to do more with less and control
their ESPs’ fly ash. One point level switch is simply not enough.
3D MultiVision Software
APM 3DMultiVision™ software for Windows-based computers
processes measurement data recorded by APM’s
3DLevelScannerTM and MultiScanner System sensors installed
on silos, open bins and warehouses. The program collects and
integrates data from all vessels monitored, across multiple sites,
even those distributed over remote geographic regions.
3DMultiVision provides sophisticated analyses based on real-
time conditions as well as historical data that allow managers to
improve workflows while reducing operating costs. Managers
and staff with appropriate authorization may view this
information from any place in the world over common LAN as
well as wireless connections. The software presents vessel
general information as well as measurement data such as:•
volume
• min/max level/distance
• mass (with a given density)By clicking on one or more of the
chosen vessels’ icons, customer can retrieve the 3D
visualization of the vessel content to view real-time allocation of
the material.
AST
AST 4510 (Submersible Pressure Transmitter)
The AST4500 and AST4510 submersible
level sensors are approved to UL/cUL913
(CSA 157) Class I Div 1, Groups C and D for
use in intrinsically safe areas with an
approved barrier. For pressure ranges from 0-
1 to 0-100 PSI that require a wide range of
media compatibility, the submersible series is
an excellent solution to level monitoring for
indoor and outdoor applications. The
AST4500 and AST4510 level sensors are
completely sealed for submersion, yet vented
through the cable to correct for barometric
pressure changes. The welded housing is
tested in-house via a helium leak tester to
ensure proper protection. The conductors of
the cable are also isolated from the outside
environment to keep the sensor operational
for long-term use. There are a variety of
factors to consider when thinking about how
to install a submersible pressure transducer.
The AST4510 comes standard with a 1/2″
NPT male conduit connection at the base of
the cable connection. In tanks that are
turbulent due to an inlet/fill pipe or the use of
an agitator, the transducer can have rigid
plastic or metal conduit installed over the
cable to prevent sensor movement within the
tank. It is most common in mobile
applications such as ships, train cars, or
applications where the tank is transported
between locations such as fuel tanks for
construction sites, chemical totes for
industrial processing, or well site injection
chemicals.

FL0011
EMA’S FL0011 and FL0003 works on the
calorimetric principle, this flow measurement
is based on two temperature sensors in close
contact with the fluid but thermal insulated
from each other. One of the two sensors is
constantly heated and the cooling effect of the
flowing fluid is used to monitor the flow. In a
stationary no flow fluid condition there is a
constant temperature difference between the
two temperature sensors. When the fluid flow
increases, heat energy is drawn from the
heated sensor and the temperature difference
between the sensors are reduced. The
reduction is proportional to the flow rate of
the fluid. These units are available in AC or
DC supply and outputs of 4-20mA and Relay,
Model FL0011, PNP and NPN, Model
FL0003. Sensing range for liquids are 3 -
300cm/s and for gases it ranges from 200 to
3000cm/s. Calorimetric and smart flow
sensor: Integrated display, controller and
sensing element. The user can set the flow
range and the warning signal discretionarily
via the pushbuttons. The display is
included 10 LEDs flow rate indicator. Longer
reliability without mechanical moving part.

StrikeAlert
StrikeAlert (Portable Lightning Detector)
StrikeAlert is a small and affordable lightning
detector that provides an early warning of
approaching lightning strikes from as far away as
40 miles and lets you know if the storm is coming
your way. An audible alarm sounds when there’s a
strike and a corresponding LED light illuminates
accordingly at lightning distances of 20-40 miles,
12-24 miles, 6-12 miles and within 6 miles. The
detector is housed in a small pager-like casing that
can be clipped on a belt loop and runs on a two
AAA batteries. It’s perfect for outdoor sporting
events and activities.
Features
The power button is used to select “On”, “On with
tone” and “Off”. Turning the unit on requires
simply a short pressing of the button. Pressing the
button for approximately two seconds upon
power-up enables the tone (a beep will sound
indicating that the tone has been enabled). When
wanting to turn the unit off, simply hold the power
button down for approximately four seconds
(again, a beep will sound indicating that the unit
has shut off).
Veris
Accelabar
The Accelabar is a new and unique flow
meter that combines two differential pressure
technologies to produce operating ranges
never before attainable in a single flow
meter. It is capable of generating high
differential pressures for measuring gas,
liquids and steam at turndowns previously
unattainable—with no straight run
requirements. The Accelabar consists of a
unique toroidal nozzle design and a
Verabar® averaging pitot. The nozzle has a
patented straight run “settling distance” that
accelerates, linearizes and stabilizes the
velocity profile sensed by the Verabar. The
Verabar located within the nozzle accurately
measures and significantly increases the
differential pressure output to increase the
operating range (turndown). The Accelabar
has a constant flow coefficient and produces
an accuracy of up to ±0.50%.
Engineering Specifications:
Low velocity flow rates
High accuracy: to ± 0.50%
Repeatability: ±0.050%
Verified flow coefficients
No calibration required
Extended turndown
No straight run requirements
Low permanent pressure loss
Mass or volumetric flow
Verabar
Developed from aerospace technology, the
Verabar averaging pitot flow sensor provides
unsurpassed accuracy and reliability. With
its solid one-piece construction and bullet
shape, the Verabar makes flow measurement
clog-free and precise. The unique sensor
shape reduces drag and flow induced
vibration. And the location of the low
pressure ports eliminates the potential for
clogging and improves signal stability. The
Verabar offers the widest application range
of any flow sensor. It accurately measures

MWS-10RF (Radar continuous level sensor for powder and high temperature
materials)
MWS-10RF Microwave Range Finder consists of
an antenna connected to a controller by circular
waveguide tubing. The heat resistant antenna is
installed in the high temperature zone, while the
controller is located in a room temperature area
allowing the sensor to make accurate
measurements in high temperature areas without
special cooling. Microwaves are unaffected by
temperature, flames, vapour, airborne particles or
dirt.
Unaffected by adverse conditions:
The antenna, which is the sensing head, can be
installed in the high temperature zone without the
need of additional cooling devices. The antenna
and controller are easily connected by circular
waveguide tubing, using special 90。 turns and
straight pieces. Microwaves are unaffected by
temperature, flames, vapour, airborne particles or
dirt.
High accuracy and reliability:
Error less than 10mm. False measurements
caused by double-reflected waves are eliminated
through the use of rotary microwaves. The
accuracy of the measured range is not affected by
fluctuating temperatures nor does it deteriorate
over extended periods. Utilizes filters which
eliminate spurious signals.
The operational state is shown on your personal computer:
It displays an FFT spectrum, the received signal
and various preset values. The received signal,
FFT spectrum and the trend measurement are
continuously displayed. This displayed data can
be recorded and reviewed in real or accelerated
time. Use of the recording and reviewing
capabilities allows the system parameters to be
optimised offline. The display indicates and
outputs the internal temperature and any
abnormal conditions. (i.e. a lowering of received
signal power, rising temperature in the controller,
software version mismatch and communication
failures.
MWS-DP-3 (Solids Flow Switch)
MWS-DP-3 is a microwave based non-
contact solids flow sensor. It utilizes the
Doppler Effect to detect the movement of
solid materials such as powders and granules
in pneumatic pipelines. This low cost,
reliable sensor is ideal for monitoring the
flow of bulk solids in vacuum pipelines,
ducts, air slides, gravity chutes, feeders and
at transfer points in vibrating chutes,
conveyer belts and bucket elevators, easily
penetrates process build up on antenna,
firebrick, refractory etc. The sensor can be
installed on the exterior of a plastic or
ceramic pipe and detect the flow of the
material in the pipe
Non-contact & non-invasive :
The Doppler Effect of microwaves allows for
non-contact flow detection. Thanks to the
high penetrability of microwaves, non-
invasive detection through non-conductive
pipes (plastic, ceramic, glass etc.) is possible.
No moving parts :
The flow sensor has no moving mechanical
parts. This eliminates wear on the sensor and
ensures years of maintenance free operation.
Minimally affected by nonconductive build up on the sensing head:
Microwaves are able to penetrate
nonconductive build up on the sensing head
or the wall of the container/pipe.
Low cost & low maintenance:
This low cost microwave flow sensor is an
ideal replacement for reed or flapper switches
as there is no need for periodical cleaning or
replacement.
Lightweight, compact, simple to install &
operate
MWS-ST/SR-2 (4 Channel Deluxe Type Microwave Sensor)
MWS-ST/SR-2 type microwave sensor is a
level switch which consists of a transmitter
and a receiver, installed face to face. It comes
with four channels to allow for installation of
multiple sets in close proximity. The
transmitter transmits microwaves toward the
receiver and an output relay in the receiver is
released when the beam is obstructed. Harsh
environments may result in the build-up of
contaminants on the sensing surfaces;
however, the sensor easily penetrates this
build up, thanks to the high penetrability of
microwaves
100m Range with heterodyne detection:
Approx. 100m range with an ø27mm
antenna, thanks to the Heterodyne detection
method.
High penetration:
Easily penetrates process build up on
antenna, firebrick, refractory etc., thanks to
the increased operating range.
Unaffected by adverse environments:
The sensor is unaffected by surface
contaminants, flames, steam, vapour or
airborne particles.
Simple beam alignment:
Easy initial beam alignment at installation,
thanks to the wide beam angle.
Selectable detection mode:
Either broken beam (BLOCK) or unbroken
beam (UNBLOCK) detection method may be
selected.
On delay time rheostat:
On delay time, adjustable 0.1~10secs,
prevents instantaneous detection of falling
material whilst filling.
15 LED indicator bank:
A 15 LED indicator array displays the
received power level and the sensitivity-set-
point, allowing for visual sensitivity
adjustment and maintenance.
No set-to-set interference:
Four channels are available, selectable by
rotary switch, eliminating set-to-set
interference.
Analog output (optional):
The received power level may be output as a
4 ~ 20mA analog signal.
MWS-ST/SR-3-24V DC (Single Point Microwave Level Sensor)
The MWS-ST/SR-3-24V type microwave
sensor is a level switch consisting of a
transmitter (MWS-ST) and a receiver (MWS-
SR) installed face-to-face. The transmitter
emits a continuous, low power microwave
beam towards the receiver and an output
relay is released when the beam is obstructed.
High penetration:
Easily penetrates process build up on
antenna, firebrick, refractory etc., thanks to
the high penetrability of microwaves.
Unaffected by adverse environments:
The sensor is unaffected by surface
contaminants, flames, steam, vapour or
airborne particles.
Simple beam alignment:
Easily initial beam alignment at installation,
thanks to the wide beam angle.
Sensitivity margin indicators:
The sensitivity margins are indicated on the
receiver by LEDs allowing for easy visual
adjustment and maintenance of the sensors.
Lightweight, compact & easy to install:
The sensor weighs less than 1kg and is
housed in a compact aluminium die cast
enclosure. Built-in amplifiers allow for no
interconnection between the transmitter and
receiver.
Improved anti-vibration:
All circuits are molded in the enclosure
Enclosure rating IP65 equivalent
MWS-ST/SR-11U (Universal Power Type Microwave Sensor)
MWS-ST/SR-11U type microwave sensor is
a level switch which consists of a transmitter
(MWS-ST) and a receiver (MWS-SR),
installed face to face. The transmitter emits a
continuous, low power microwave beam
towards the receiver and an output relay is
released when the beam is obstructed. The
sensor has wide application across all areas
of industry where highly reliable, non-contact
level detection is required. The sensor is
generally used for process control by
monitoring presence/absence of product,
flow/no flow conditions and point level
detection in bins and silos. The sensor may
also be used as a proximity switch for
detection of vehicles such as dump trucks and
rail cars.
Unaffected by adverse conditions
Microwaves are unaffected by temperature,
flames, heavy vapour/smoke, airborne
particles or dirt build up on the antenna head.
