local metal su##ly de#ots' I look out or the #ieces "ith rust' It does re$uire a bit

o clean u# but my local metal su##ly gi%es a discount or buying rusty metal'6leaning the rust "as done "ith a 4'A- grinder and &a# discs and sanding discs' Ifnd that grinding the steel beore cutting is easier'

I measured (.- u# rom the bottom, marked a line #er#endicular to the #i#e, andthen marked a line (1Q rom that'

@se an angle grinder to cut a "edge out on 3 sides o the s$uare tube'

5s you can see in the #hoto, I clam#ed the long end o the leg to my "ork table,

and used some scra#s to #ro# u# the short end' This closes the ga# created bythe "edge I cut out, and no" it/s ready to "eld'

and drilled through earlier' These "ill hold the table and chair eet in #lace'

Tack "eld a (2- "asher to a (2- carriage bolt as sho"n in #hotos A and ' Theseeet "ill be scre"ed into the end ca#s later'

Weld the 2- end ca#s to the bottoms o all chair and table legs'

Finishing:

5ter all "elds "ere made, I "ent back through all o the #ieces "ith an angle

grinder and &a# disc to smooth out any shar# edges and corners' I also ga%e thetubing a fnal sanding, cleaned it "ith alcohol, "ent o%er it again "ith a tack

I started "ith 2 sets o 2 boards each, and 3 sets o 3 boards each' The idea "as

5ter allo"ing the glue to set o%ernight, I ran all o the ne" boards through my

thickness #laner to get the to#s nice and smooth' @sing the same gluing and#ocket hole scre" method, I attached one set o 2 boards to a set o 3 boards or

the bench and chair back, and 3332 or the table to# and chair bottoms'

5ter making sure that the legs "ere e%enly s#aced rom the edges, I drilled A

holes into the center truss only and dro%e in 3- long scre"s'

I re#eated the #rocess or the bench, but used 4 holes instead o A'

Feet:

)e sure to scre" in those sixteen (2- eet to their end ca#s beore turning thetable o%er 9#hoto A

6hair:

I #laced the chair bottom on to# o the table 9once I &i##ed the table right sideu#< and used (- scre"s to attach t"o ront legs directly to the underside o the

chair bottom'

I then #laced the rear legs into their cut outs and scre"ed them in as "ell'
