Entering the ClassroomYou will greet Mr. Aldredge at the door and shake his hand.You will walk into the classroom and grab all the necessary materials before going to your desk.You will silently start the Catalyst.

Exiting the classroomThe bell is a signal to the teacher that it is time for class to end. The bell, however, does not dismiss the class. When dismissed, you will quietly without running, pushing, etc. exit the class. I will respect your passing period time as you respect my class time.

Turning in WorkWhen work is due (projects, assignments, etc.), Mr. Aldredge will ask for students to place it in the appropriate bin.Corrected work will be returned in a timely manner and will be used to determine student mastery. Homework will NOT be graded.***

Absent PolicyStudents who are absent should ask Mr. Aldredge where the missing content is located. (The BOOK)Students ARE held accountable for work on days absent. NO EXCUSESFailure to complete work will result in loss of points for that assignment.

What if I dont listen?These are the consequences for not meeting classroom expectations (minor infractions). Major infractions will result in the appropriate school policy consequences.1st offense Verbal Warning2nd offense Student moves seat3rd offense Step outside and have One on One conversation with a Student choice. Student will complete a self-diagnostic referral.4th offense In-class phone call home and higher authority contacted. Class essay will be required for re-entry into class.

Self-Diagnostic ReferralIf inappropriate behavior continues, then you will complete a self-diagnostic referral.This will be kept on file and must be completed prior to returning to the class.If another referral is needed, then both will be mailed home.

Class EssayIf your behavior is not corrected, then you will be asked to complete a class essay. This will need to be completed before you can rejoin the class.

Refusal to workIf you are off task and have been asked to do your work, but you deliberately choose not to do it, you will sign a Refusal to work form. This form acknowledges that you know you are not completing the assignment and that you will not be able to make up the work. If you are off task during class, your grade will suffer.

Cheating or Plagiarism It is the responsibility that students do their own work. Students will receive a 0 for assignment(s) and or exams/quizzes that is not their own work. If behavior is consistent, the teacher will follow policies/procedures mandated by school administration.

This class will have a strict zero tolerance policy for any type of cheating.
