DEVELOPMENT LEAGUES3 WHAT ARE DEVELOPMENT LEAGUES?
D-LEAGUE OFFERS A MORE COMPETITIVE SPORT EXPERIENCE WITH DEDICATED COACHING AND TRAINING FOR SKILL ADVANCEMENT.
The Development League (D-League) offers athletes a heightened level of competition without the time commitment of a Varsity Athletic Program. Athletes have the opportunity to take their game to the next level by learning from committed coaching staff.
Most D-League Teams will go to OCAA extramural tournaments and exhibition games when possible where they will compete against other Ontario college intramural teams.
UTM offers D-Leagues for: • Men’s Ice Hockey • Men’s Volleyball • Women’s Volleyball • Men’s Outdoor and Indoor Soccer • Women’s Outdoor and Indoor Soccer • Women’s Basketball
Tryouts All students interested in playing for UTM in a Development League must attend the tryout. Dates and times for tryouts are listed under the Development League column for each sport, pages 16 – 29. Previous playing experience in the sport is required for all D-League Teams.
UNABLE TO MAKE ANY OF THE TRYOUTS? Contact: Brittany Tierney Email: brittany.tierney@utoronto.ca Call: (905) 569-4621

The University of Toronto Mississauga is a proud member of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA). Varsity Eagles teams compete throughout Ontario in Badminton, Cross Country, Outdoor Soccer, Indoor Soccer and Basketball.
Tryouts All players must be full-time registered students through the UTM Registrar or U of T School of Graduate Studies in order to tryout. All interested athletes must register online prior to attending a varsity tryout. Contact the Program Office for registration information.
NOTE: Any UTM student who participates in a U of T Varsity Blues Badminton, Basketball, Cross Country, or Soccer tryout or competition will be ineligible for UTM Varsity Eagles teams for one calendar year.
