V-Cone Subsea with

dual transmitters

Principle of Operation

As the ow approaches thecone, the ow prole “attens”toward the shape of a welldeveloped prole—evenin extreme ow conditions.

The cone forms very shortvortices as the ow passesthe cone. These short vorticescreate a low amplitude, highfrequency signal for excellentsignal stability. The clean signalenables a wide measurementrange and quick response timefor control.

The V-Cone Subsea ow meter has been in operation from the North Sea to the Gulf of Mexico over decades, built to stand the test of time.

Ask about our worldwide reference list with hundreds of installations

When a ow meter is specied for service thousands of meters below the ocean in pressures up to 15,000 psi, there are no second chances. Working with a vendor with a proven track record, third-party performance testing and experience manufacturing to the most stringent international standards is a must. McCrometer V-ConeÆ Subsea oers all of this and more for your peace of mind.

Saving Space and Weight

Saves Space Proven PerformanceLong LifeExperienced Manufacturing

Designed for Long lifeThe V-Cone Subsea has no need for maintenance or re-calibration oering unattended, long-term reliable performance. This is due to the contour-shaped cone that directs ow towards the outside wall, so the beta edge is not subject to wear.
