Dollhouse RaffleCome see the amazing dollhouse on display in thefront of the library.  Can you find the map ofNewport or the picture of the Richards FreeLibrary? The Friends of the Library are raffling offthis book­filled house to benefit the library.  Thedrawing will be held at the Library Festival onAugust 27th, but you do not need to be present towin. Tickets are available at the front desk allsummer.

International Volunteers at the Library

People from all over the world will attend an InternationalWork Camp. For more than thirty years Volunteers forPeace has offered a camp in Newport.  This year thecampers will  work in cultural and recreational facilitiesin Newport.  You will see them in summer school, RecCenter, Opera House, Library Arts Center and the libraryas well as at Concerts on the Common and other placesaround town.

Make sure to introduce yourself.
