Overview of MAP Results• Missouri made significant changes in the 2006 Missouri Assessment Program

(MAP) to meet the standards of the National Assessment of Educational Process.

• Missouri gives the MAP in two content areas at specific grades.– Math--grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 10– Communication Arts--grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 11

• Student Results are reported in one of four levels– Level 1--Below Basic– Level 2--Basic– Level 3--Proficiency– Level 4--Advanced

• State and District goal is to move students out of Levels 1 & 2 and to move students into Levels 3 & 4.
