SPORT AND SPAACTION AND RELAXATION

On a Powder Byrne holiday, you decide how you spend your time. We like to think of it as a luxurious pick ‘n’ mix system. We’ve selected resorts with fantastic facilities so you can dip in and out of a variety of sports and spa activities. But if the beach calls, or you simply want to hit the pool and relax, be our guest …

Many of our resorts have excellent water sports, whilst tennis and golf fans will be equally well catered for – just tell us what you enjoy and we’ll recommend the best options. And if your family don’t share your sporting passions – don’t worry! Our Resort Managers are adept at pairing like-minded guests of similar ability so you won’t miss out.

You’ll no doubt be tempted by the world-class spas in many of our properties, and as always, if you want to find out more about treatments or options please just give us a call. We’ll be happy to pre-book on your behalf so you know you’ve got that massage waiting for you when you arrive!

FUN IN THE WATER

For water sports head to Elba. With water-skiing, sailing, banana boats and Scuba diving all on site, it really does have it all. You can even do a PADI certificate at the on site dive centre here. Another top pick for water activities is the Formentor in Mallorca, and Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, which have plenty of non-motorised water sports to choose from.

HOT FOR gOLF

If hitting the golf course is your thing then look no further than our newest property Penha Longa, Portugal. With a top-notch course right on site you’ll be in golfing heaven. Another great golf resort is The Residence, Tunisia, with a course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

TOP FOR TENNIS

For on court action we recommend Elba. With 8 clay courts and a synthetic grass court, the Hermitage really is a tennis lovers heaven. Other resorts with tennis facilities include Penha Longa, Portugal and Formentor, Mallorca with 5 courts.

ULTIMATE SPA DESTINATIONS

With many of our hotels having great spa facilities you’ll be spoilt for choice. The spas at Penha Longa and Emirates Palace are particular favourites and also take note of the spa at The Residence in Mauritius; exotic pampering at its best.

Our dynamic programme is reviewed and updated regularly based on your feedback, and our staff are experts at creating a relaxed environment where kids are in their element and are raring to go every morning.

Each day offers your kids a mix of active sports, making the most of the hotel’s facilities, adventure games and group play. We ensure the balance is just right with quieter times too, including arts & crafts and DVD evenings, and a highlight for many are organised day-trips to local attractions including aquariums and water parks, all fully supervised by our experienced teams.

SAFETY

Safety is always at the top of our agenda. Our Scallywags teams are carefully selected and fully trained to look after your children.

Welcome to our new approach.

We will help you design your own programme, taking in the best that your hotel has to offer, which might include a Scuba course, sailing, windsurfing, tennis or golf tuition.
