Development Update:

Weber’s did finally open, and it may have been short before their season ended, but the support was overwhelming. We can’t

wait until they reopen for the Spring. We are truly thankful for all the hard work and investment made by the new owner in the

renovations.

The new Dollar General building is open on the White Horse Pike as the first piece of the redevelopment of the old Bradlees site.

The new Tim Horton’s is under construction on the lot next to TD Bank. They should be open in the early part of 2021. We

can’t wait for the return of a local donut stop, and we get the added bonus of additional meals and items on their menu.

The senior housing complex at the former Christian Academy is still moving forward. There were some delays recently but the

developer expects to make their application to the JLUB in early 2021.

We expect to see ground breaking for the new Berlin Road Townhomes in early 2021.

The old Luk Oil site at Warwick and Vassar has been demolished and the tanks removed. We are expecting this site to be

available for sale soon and will work diligently with the new developer.

ALL of these new developments will be bringing added tax revenue to Stratford. This has been my goal from day one of taking

office.

On behalf of the Councilmembers, employees, volunteers and municipal professionals, I would like to wish everyone a safe and

healthy holiday season!

Your Proud Mayor,

Josh Keenan

Mayor’s MessageDear Fellow Residents,

As simple as I can make this statement for ALL

our residents, please wear a mask when outside

your home for yourself and your loved one’s

safety and health. The increase in cases and

deaths are alarming. At the same time, I would

like to thank the healthcare workers who

tirelessly are working the front lines.

I would like to thank Sterling’s Allied Health Program students for participating in a Stratford Town Clean up on Sunday, November 15th.

The Sterling Allied Health Program is a college accredited program from Rutgers University. As students’ progress through classes like Anatomy and Physiology, they are able to test for college credits that can be applied to not just Rutgers, but many colleges and universities around the country. The funds the students earn through the Clean Communities Grant for their services, allow the students to offset costs associated with testing, and it provides an opportunity to bring in additional resources to enhance the learning experience. To date, the Allied Health Program has accumulated thousands of credits and sent many kids into the fields of Nursing and Physical Therapy.

Thank you again to the students and staff at Sterling High School for helping to maintain the Borough of Stratford. It is estimated that they picked up between 75 and 100 pounds of debris! Mayor Keenan and I were proud to be a part of their day.

ON-LINE POLICE REPORTING SERVICEThe Borough of Stratford is proud to introduce a new website that allows citizens or any victim of a crime that occurred within the Borough of Stratford, to file police reports online, without the need for the citizen to respond to the Stratford Police Department or have an officer respond you your home or place of business. This convenient service is ideal for report matters that are minor or do not necessarily require an officer response.

Upon acceptance, a case will be generated with the Stratford Police Department in the same manner as if the report was filed in person.

After completing the necessary information, you will be able to print the report for your records. If the incident you wish to report is an emergency, a crime in progress, or involves any type of injury please do not submit the report online and dial 9-1-1. The loss or theft of prescription medication, narcotic, or other controlled substance cannot be reported online.

For any non-emergent incident that requires a Police Officer to respond, dial the Stratford Police Department's non-emergency number @ 856-783-4900. Please bookmark the below online reporting link for your convenience. https://reports.csitech.com/OnlineReport.aspx _________________________________________________________________________________________________

HOLIDAY SEASONWith the holiday season rapidly approaching, it is a special time of year to celebrate with family and friends. For most people, this time can be overwhelming and stressful. The Stratford Police Department would like to share with you safety tips to ensure you and your family have a safe and happy holiday season.

When shopping at night, park in a well-lit spot and always lock your car doors. Keep your valuables in a secure area of your vehicle, out of sight, like a center console or trunk. Locate your keys as you approach your vehicle and be aware of your surroundings. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash.

If you are going away for the holiday or even a few hours, do not forget to activate your alarm or set timers on interior lights. Consider leaving a television and lights on to deter thieves. The appearance that someone is home is a great deterrence since most residential burglaries occur when no one is home.

Make arrangements with someone to collect delivered packages to prevent thefts. Also consider having them delivered to your place of employment or make arrangements to pick them up from retailers. Package thefts nearly doubles during the month of December. Please report all suspicious activity to the Stratford Police Department. On behalf of the Stratford Police Department I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season.
