SUNNY HILLS HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION PARKING PERMIT PROCESS

Parking in the common area parking stalls, within Sunny Hills is prohibited from Midnight (12:00am) to 6:00 am seven days a week 365 days a year without a permit or safe-listing. The following application is only for those residents who wish to apply for an Association Parking Permit. All residents can continue to park their vehicles in their garages without a permit. Overnight guests can have their vehicles “Safe Listed” to avoid citation and towing. Contact CALIFORNIA SAFETY AGENCY Patrol Company at (866) 996-6990 for “Safe Listing”. Applications will only be considered for vehicles and properties that meet the listed criteria. Applications are vehicle and property specific, and must be renewed on an annual basis. The CC&Rs and the Rules and Regulations require that each resident utilize their garage space for the use it was designed. This means that all space within the garage utilized for vehicle parking. Vehicles parked in the association parking spots without a permit or a valid “Safe List” status will be cited and/or towed at the owner’s expense. For those residents who have a number of vehicles exceeding the spaces a permit process has been established.

CRITERIA: Number of registered vehicles exceeds parking space in garage. Also must not exceed a 2:3 ratio of registered

drivers and vehicles. (i.e. 2 registered drivers and 3 registered cars)

Vehicle is not a commercial or recreational vehicle (See commercial and recreational definition below). (Recreational vehicles have an 8-hour limit for loading and unloading and commercial vehicles are not allowed for overnight parking).

Vehicle is “street legal”, is currently licensed in the State of California and is operational. (This includes the vehicles that are being parked in the garage.)

Motorcycles, ATVs, off-road vehicles, motorhomes, trailers and other recreational vehicles parked out-of-sight in the garage are not considered as qualifying for a space enabling street parking when calculating available parking spaces (e.g., a resident has an ATV and car parked in the garage. They would not qualify for street parking for an additional car as the ATV in the garage does not count for a space).

PROCESS:

Print out Application from www.sunnyhillshoa.com or contact Stone Kastle (714) 395-5245 or CALIFORNIA SAFETY AGENCY (866) 996-6990 for email, fax, or USPS application.

Resident must fill out complete application form & send in the application and payment with a copy of the current registration for each vehicle parked at residence and copies of current driver license for all registered drivers living at the home. (It’s helpful but not required to take a picture of vehicle(s) to help speed up for approval)

Make checks payable to: Sunny Hills HOA

Garage inspection may be required for oversize vehicle(s) & if 2 vehicles are not parked in garage.

(To schedule a garage inspection, applicant pays a $25.00 garage inspection fee prior to inspection date to CALIFORNIA SAFETY AGENCY in addition to the permit fee (see prorating fees on attached permit application).

Upon successful completion of process, Stone Kastle will issue a Parking Permit for the vehicle, permitting it to be parked overnight within the community. This permit is non-transferable.

Permit is valid for calendar year from January 1st - December 31st.

Residents who receive a parking permit must advise Stone Kastle & CALIFORNIA SAFETY AGENCY when vehicle is sold or disposed of.
