Coatings for Construction Use Must Last for Many Decades

Aluminum window frames are typically pre-treated with a conversion coating and powder coated. The non-chromium conversion coatings must also demonstrate this exceptional durability in industrial environments.

Galvanized coatings are often post treated with a sealer. This protects the zinc from premature white corrosion and also improves subsequent paint adhesion. MacDermid pioneered chromium-free sealers more than10 years ago for HDG finishes.
