These words have been milling around in my mind for the past several months as we have been hard at work on creating colours and designing the patterns to go

with our new colourways and yarns. To me, Spring is all about lightness, lightheartedness, and wholeheartedness.

While SweetGeorgia has become synonymous with deep, vibrant, and saturated hand-dyed colours, we’ve intentionally chosen to lighten our palette this season.

As well, we are entering our 10th year in 2015 and are celebrating with our new “Party of Five” mini-skein sets. Several of our patterns this season feature these new sets.

I sincerely hope you enjoy our Spring collection and look forward to seeing what you make.

This design takes a mere 50 yards in 5 colours and transforms it into a striped and textured hat that can be completed in a couple evenings of easy knitting. Eyelets and welts add to the texture and the quick changes in

colour make it an addictive little project.

A simple but eye-catching chevron pattern adorns these socks. The subtle shimmer of the yarn adds a little extra something to the

fabric without overshadowing the stitch pattern.

Using some basic cable techniques, turn out a squishy cowl in no time. Knit flat and then closed with two buttons, this cowl can be worn in a combination of ways for versatility.

There is something impossibly alluring about hand-dyed yarns. Everything from the vibrance to the subtle nuances in shade and hue

capture the heart as well as the imagination.

Hand-dyed yarn has the feeling of being alive.

Ten years have passed since I dyed my first skein of yarn at my dining room table. Today, our yarns and fibres are hand-dyed at our studio in

Vancouver, Canada by a team of passionate and skilled artisans. Over the years, the things we collectively believe, practice, and value

have converged and interwoven to become the fabric of “SweetGeorgia.” For many, SweetGeorgia has become synonymous

with vibrant, saturated colour and luxury yarn.

But for us, it’s about more than yarn.
