New to Puketapu:

Kayden Lucinsky

Kia ora nga whanau o Puketapu,

Term 3 sees many of our winter sports in action. We are really proud to have our students

involved in football, inline hockey, hockey, basketball, netball, rugby, rugby league,

gymnastics, dancing and many more sports and physical activities.

As a school we have been looking into getting new sports uniforms for our tamariki. We

have been lucky enough to have TURA sports create a unique and specific design for our kura.

The design represents Puketapu and we will be sharing the

korero in a later newsletter. Thank you to Tara-Lee Manu and

Wayne Capper who are from our iwi for putting these together.

Our intentions are to have the sports shirt, shorts and hoodies

for sale to students and whanau. Details and prices will come

out later for this as we know we have many proud Puketapu

people that would love to wear our gears with pride.

There are two sample garments hanging in the office - if you

haven’t already, come in and take a look. From feedback so far

we have made a few adjustments to the shirts. If you have any

more feedback please let us know

at [email protected].

Have a great week.

Nga mihi

Rimu 2 & 3’s New Home This week we moved into our new space, sharing the Library. We love having so much more room and that Mrs Jackson is helping our learning too. We also love the outside space… we just need more sunny days!

Can you help? Now that we are in bigger spaces, are looking for a few items for our new space. Any good condition Matchbox or hotwheel cars and word/number board or card games would be gratefully received. You can drop them to the library or to the office! Thanks so much!

Congratulations to Troy Perry for being selected to play for the Central Region U12 Inline Hockey Team.

Well done Troy!
